I haven’t been able to do a ton of shiny hunting over the last few days but I’ve been slowly working on my longest hunt yet - still deep into overtime for Safari Week (which ended 2 weeks ago now).
I’m at 26,000 encounters in the Zone and around 12,000 for Zubat in Mt Moon. Full odds hunting has not been kind to me this year.
I got asked again if I wanted to step up to a supervisor position at work. I was gonna take the day to think about it but ultimately just said no because I’m at comic con and didn’t want it weighing on my mind all day. I told my manager I’m not confident enough to do that job and she said “you are incredible at your job, no matter what position”.
I’m in the middle of the convention floor trying not to cry.
I was on the hunt for some retro games and/or a Zubat/Rhyhorn plush but came up empty. I did get this haul though.

I genuinely don’t understand people ai generating posters that are just text. I’m seeing them in business windows everywhere and it’s always the same distressed font. Open up a word processor and type it out yourself?
My manager has generated one for an upcoming coffee evening and I don’t know if I should be the “coworker that’s too woke” and offer to work that evening so long as I can remake the poster.
She said yes so guess who’s gonna be teaching people to make coffee

Man, I used to watch this food blogger on YouTube all the time pre-pandemic. I haven’t watched him in years and I saw him pop up on my subscriptions recently. All his thumbnails are AI now…
All the food looks gross and strange and some of the thumbs show a man that clearly isn’t him.
How do you look at it and think “yes, this looks just like me and the food featured in this video!”? Like just take a pic of you with the food, grab a screenshot from the video. It’s not hard, especially for a guy with millions of subscribers.
I‘ve seen people online complaining about Momo using this PSA 9 Suicune as an accessory and slapping it on her face. So?
She probably just likes the look of the Pokemon. I think being loved, even if just temporarily for an aesthetic purpose, is so much better than what scalpers do to the game. Enjoy Pokemon however you want.
