#and here is my extensive explanation of why i chose to illustrate these items especifically... AHEM#Ralsei and Flowery: they both know the rules of the darkworld while Ralsei follows It Flowery doesnt#making Ralsei jealous and irritated because he wished he could do the same#Flowery contanstly pushes the point that Ralsei should prioritize himself more and have more automany over his choices and let go of rules#Kris and Spamton: they have extreme paralels with each other they both have a Sense of self however no freedom theyre stuck being controlle#you could say that Ive shouldve gone with Pink instead but 1- she doesnt give you an item#and 2- pink ended up having a healthy relationship with her body and decided to Work with It instead of fighting It#in the other hand both Spamton and Kris fight for their automany every chance they get#for Spamton It costed his life for Kris their relationships (snowgrave/not being able to properly interact with susie nor ralsei)#Susie and Gerson: Gerson was a mentor to Susie motivated her and guided her to the right path#he constantly talks abt how stories are not written in stone and one can change It's fate by trying#Also recommends Susie to not follow the prohecy and instead do what she deems rightful while always staying true to herself#In my opinion Shadow mantle has more story value but other than that It has no connection to Kris on a emotional level#same goes for the Black shard- you could argue that Kris might be working with the Knight and thats a connection they could have with it#however i did not think It was as personal as the experience they had with the spamton fight#ok rant over lelellele#deltarune#my art#dr ralsei#dr kris#dr susie

i really hope everything relating to deltarune that has been happening for the past decade gets archived somehow, the theories, the newsletters, even when new generations gets to enjoy the game i hope they can watch the silly lil theory videos made back in 2020, or when snowgrave got found a few weeks upon chapter 2 release

Isn't it crazy how this interaction which alludes to the soul taking over Kris occurs at a lake. A lake in a room specifically designed for punishment. A room Yellow - the colour Asgore is represented as before the incident, the flower that embodies Asgore's guilt over failing as an enforcer of justice - tries to bury himself in. That lake. Totally not suspicious or anything.
