I wanted to depict a side Nesta happy to just admire her sisters, truly the Valkyries in their element!

I've just downed an entire bottle of muscat so I will not remember posting this but the level of self insertion in the ACOTAR fandom is kind of crazy

Like I'll take Nesta cause she's my fave but the whole thing of you either like or hate Nesta based on whether "you've had a Nesta or been a Nesta" is crazy...if I was to project myself onto a character in the acotar verse my life is probably most similar to Feyre's but that holds no influence on how much I like or dislike a character.

I enjoyed/found Nesta's character pre-ACOSF because I thought her anger at father was justified, I understood her transference of hatred of the situation she was in/papa Archeron onto Feyre for having the gall to save them deeply interesting.

I thought her relationship with Elain (and Feyre's or an extent) was a good look at how children are conditioned to protect whoever is presented as the most vulnerable and how you eventually start to resent them for that

I thought the fact that she hated Feyre (canon please read the bonus chapter) but would still make a deal with a mercenary and cross into Pyrthian on sheer principle fascinating.

I found her hating here position post forced transition into a Fae but still doing everything asked of her eye opening into her character.

I thought that her character being deemed "morally grey" by the fandom because of her interpersonal relationships while actually being the most morally rigid character in the acotarverse interesting because it shows how female characters are often stripped to their worst selves even when shown growth past this and aren't given the same leniency or complexity as male characters even while having it written on page.

I hate this era of relatability we've been forced into where you need to decide whether you like a character on the basis of whether they share similarities with people who have done you right or wrong in real life. Nesta is my fave based on the merit of how she's written.. end of.

I also hated the idea where you would hate a character if you knew them in real life. I refuse to divulge my personal information here but as aforementioned if we're talking about characters I've basically been a much worse off version of Feyre but Nesta didn't hurt me, she isn't real.

Valkyries art piece, Neris art piece and Nesta solo art secured now I'm just deciding if I should do Nesta/Azriel brotp, Nesta as a mom, or Nesta interacting with The Mother

let's do some late night Valkyrie posting who do we think is the shortest we know Gwyn is canonically the tallest, my guess is Nesta but it'd be funny if it was Emerie 🤔
