Brief Summary:

Delilah's World (also sometimes called Gen2) is a Dandy's World AU I share with my friend Tex . Long after the original Gardenview shuts down, a Gardenview ripoff opens. This new location has essentially created clones of each character in the original Dandy's World show, though each are different enough to be considered their own character. These new toons are created with a false ichor that begins to lose its shape over time, meaning they have to be killed and reborn repeatedly in order to keep them looking presentable. All of the toons in the original location had become twisted, though after years of being trapped in Gardenview, the excess ichor leaves their bodies, and they return to a passive state. They manage to break out of the facility, only to find that they've all been replaced by "better" versions of themselves.

I GOTCHU DONT WORRY ok after discussing with tex (hi @/cherryformula ) for a bit.

Bubby is designed to be just as positive as poppy is, but shes intended to teach kids to lift each other up and support each other,,, more of an emphasis on supporting others. Bubby is pretty much the therapist friend of the gen2 toons LOL. Poppy is always kind to people ofc but when she sees bubby and how kind she is she has this moment of "oh. shittt. i talk about myself too much shes so nice and cool and kind and makes everyone feel so good? am i selfish???" (shes really not but seeing how absolutely selfless bubby is makes her paranoid. Poppy has a lot of confidence in herself, but bubby's purpose is to make other people feel confident, too.)

and ironically enough, bubby feels preeetty much just the same way about poppy - maybe a little less intensely though. Bubby being poppy's replacement intensifies a lot of that jealousy. especially after hearing all of the Shit they went through bubby admires how supportive and kind and confident poppy is and it makes her worry that shes not good enough at supporting others </3

Melpie is basically just a braver version of boxten. his whole thing is teaching kids how to face their fears, so despite being Riddled with social anxiety hes a lot more outgoing n stuff,,, which im sure you can guess makes boxten feel cowardly and wimpy. He wishes he could be like melpie and face his fears like that. hes supposed to be inspiring but boxten is just looking at a copy of himself whos seemingly better at everything than him despite being almost the same person and that does NOT make him feel good abt himself

melpie pities boxten, he tries to help him out and give him advice discreetly but that just kinda makes boxten feel Worse. because why cant he do that himself? why hasnt he done that for himself already? why is melpie able to do it so easily, why cant he just get over his fears? which. yknow. in turn makes melpie pity him more and feel more inclined to help because he sees how frustrated boxten is. the wretched cycle

  1. SOMEWHAT. Sorta. Theyre "reset" every time they get recycled but they still retain some memories from the previous reset, enough to where they still remember Generally whats going on. on top of that since they all use the same ichor they have vague, muddled memories of the other toons
  2. OH VERY SECRET. every time theyre killed they get sent to "time-out" which is this big colorful goofy machine that just crushes them to death and then uses that ichor to remake them
  3. i actually dont know what happened to the old human staff.... I dont know if theyd be around any more. The handlers def not, but the founders *maybe?*
  4. god i hope they get paid overtime LOL

Also, what's false ichor? You mentioned it briefly and I've been wondering how the gen2 toons function if their ichor is less efficient than true ichor. What problems does it bring up for them and all?

There's probs a lot more I could ask but I think this is plenty for now lmao. You don't have to answer them all, or any at all, I just kinda had to get these out of my brain :3 anyways I love your art!! And your au's!!! Ur so awesome and cool please don't get microwaved!!!!

1) They get along but in the most artificial, forced way possible. its not even that they act chill with each other they Actively choose to spend time with each other and one would think that theyre the best of friends... thats what they try to be, but only because they know that if they dont everything will go to shit LOL. they hate each others guts SOOOO BADDDD and to stop both themselves and each other from getting in trouble theyve come to this mutual agreement without words that theyre gonna be all buddy buddy with each other so they can avoid ripping out each others throats. They fucking hate each other

2) SHES NOT LOLLL Her name is "t" purposefully lowercade because uhmm. Haha funny math reference. t like a variable!!! shes a calculator :3 i actually did make a ref for her but shes in the group of gen2 toons that i never posted... ough

3) OK HERES THE THING. None of them actually know this. they show up at new gardenview with mixed feelings and very messy expectations because theyre not sure if theyll be welcomed with open arms or welcomed with hostility... i think that mainly the group is filled with optimism though, so when the gen2 toons see the gen1ers show ip theyre like DUDE??? FUCK???? WE NEED TO HELP KEEP YOU HIDDEN OR THEYRE GONNA FUCKING KILL YOU ALL !!!!

The gen2 toons arent monitored 24/7 (some more than others) so theyre just trying to help the gen1 toons heal and stay alive ,,, theres nowhere for any of them to go if they were to escape since 3 foot cartoon characters would NOT last walking around fucking LA or something 💀 theyre just. Trying to survive pretty much. they've fought so hard for their lives for decades, and they dont want to give up.

4) Im not sure exactly what false ichor would be made of, its some sort of substance as vague as ichor itself lol. But its basically just Gardenview trying to recreate ichor in a lab

the gen2 toons dont hold together as well as the gen1 toons do. After about a week they start to lose their shape and gradually become more distorted and melty until theyre a puddle of goop on the floor... literally in order to SURVIVE the gen2 toons need to be killed and remade on a regular basis </3 This false ichor is a lot cheaper to make compared to how expensive it was to pump ichor from the ground though and they can reuse it to recreate toons as many times as theyd like
