"Alara's Lightbringer" I really had to push through to finish this one and while i'm very tried from shading all those feathers, it was worth it for my fav Pyke. Tried a bunch of new things on this illustration to learn clip studio paint a little bit more and I think it turned out pretty rad. Ophelia is up next!

So this is a big celebration set of fake screenshots I've been working on since Legends of Avantris hit the 15 million stretch goal to bring Starlight Brigade to the Neon Odyssey D&D books next year as a mini campaign! It's also a fun hypothetical headcanon idea of how Strive, Pyke and the Rhapsody crew could possibly meet. I'm imagining Strive unwillingly separated from the rest of the brigade/twrp crew, somehow ending up in the Rhapsody's neck of the galaxy and soon after being pursued by space pirates while dodging and weaving to escape. Pyke then takes off in his ship, the Sparrow, to engage in the coolest combat scenario in my head as Strive's ship doesn't have any weapons to fight back with. You should totally check out the music videos with these characters and maybe even watch a really cool D&D campaign too :)

A tribute piece of crossover fanart for Knights of the Light Table's work on what's now two of my favorite music videos of all time: Starlight Brigade and Neon Odyssey. I was so moved and inspired by their latest animation, and the pure artistry and passion that went into it, that I had to draw something to celebrate both with a shared theme of space. Thought it be cool to team up Strive and Pyke in one image. They're my big favs and I really wanted to do them justice while pushing myself on the background to hopefully capture that wonder and awe of space. :) Starlight Brigade Neon Odyssey

Hey ya'll! Apologies for not having a Mystery Skulls Animated update last month, as there was some family related issues to take care of. However, we've got some pretty exciting news in store for this update.
One of our most long standing issues is finally complete! After all this time we can finally say we have finished all of our background art! The monthly image included is one of said finished backgrounds!
For the longest time background art has been something of a thorn in our side, so having that out of the way is a huge source of relief. At this point, we're still plugging away at Post Production and the last remaining special effects, but we're getting closer and closer to that finish line. While we're not quite yet ready to publicly state some sort of expected release date, we think we have a fairly decent idea of when that may be!

June 5th, we'll be working with Makeship again! This time around, the Deadbeat plush will be returning so if you missed out on them the first time around, you'll have a second chance. Also, this time they're Glow In The Dark! We'll also be introducing a new stylish Deadbeat T-shirt to go along with it! We'll go into more details when the time comes, so if you're in the market for some Deadbeat goods, keep an eye out.

Gift art for @snapscube of Babble the Rabbit as Young Link. Her Zelda playthroughs of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask have been invaluable in getting me through a rough few months and gave me the opportunity to give something nice back. I wanted to invoke the feeling of the concept art from both games, but style the shading like the Majora's Mask illustrations. Thank you Penny for being such an awesome creator and one of the most entertaining streamers I've watched in recent memory. I hope you like this! :)

Living Harmony AU relevant character sheets/info: Stygian Harmony Started working on my puppet rigs again for the AU mlp animation project I'm in the middle of making assets for in my spar time. Was very excited to take my good friend Ori's Stygian design and finally turn it into a full animation rig. Stygian's 3Q front view is pretty much complete and I've gotten a good amount of work done on his other turnaround views that I sketched out in the bottom most gif. Everything in these rigs is made from scratch and I'm very pleased with how he's turning out. The Pillars of Equestria are extremely important to this story idea and how they relate to the Tree of Harmony, so I wanna give their puppet rigs as much love as possible and that includes best boy Stygian. :)

To end the year, we're posting a tearful, yet determined Vivi! This will likely be the last bit of animation we'll be showing off at this point, as there just isn't anything left to show that won't give more away than we'd want. Individual screenshots will continue however, so no worries there.

Hey y'all, time for a Mystery Skulls Animated Monthly Update! (Which may or may not have been somewhat delayed on account of Silksong for some of us on the team...)
This time around we're showing off a pair of shots that are close to completion! There are still some small things to add and tweak to these in post, but the bulk of the work is in place here.
This pretty much illustrates our progress over the past few months: more effects turned in, more renders in place, and getting closer to implementing the rest of the backgrounds.
While we're certainly stitching the pieces together, it would be fair to say that we don't quite have the ability to pinpoint a release date just yet, which certainly stings with it being October once again. But we'll absolutely be sure to let y'all know immediately when we feel confident in setting that date! Hey, so I'm trying to help out a good friend of mine, who lives with chronic illness, in raising money for a monthly mortgage payment and some unexpected medical bills. They're trying their best to keep their home that their parents put a lot of time, love and effort into while their mother is going through interviews to land other jobs after being let go from their previous stable workplace, bringing a 2 person income down to 1. I really don't want my friend to lose their home and I know it's a super tough time for so many people, but I'm doing what I can to get more eyes on their situation. Any help and/or shares would be super appreciated!
