talking to an umamusume and you happen to say the sequence 67 in the middle of your sentence and to your relief she completely straight-faces it but you cant help but notice her ears do tiny alternating flicks
im just imagining her politely listening to you with her hands folded in front her like this when it happens
"it's just stress" oh thank god, it's just the silent killer that slowly kills you, perfectly harmless, no need to worry
let's all go out and buy pink refreshing citrusy fruity sexually arousing drinks
all experiences of attraction (i.e. what prompts the bodily reaction we think of as attraction--whether literal arousal or just variations on intense sensory curiosity--and how we retroactively conceptualize that reaction within the meaning-making frameworks we have access to) are not innate but rather very subject to social forces of all kinds & this does not make the attraction inauthentic or consciously changeable.
so I am not saying this is not an authentic experience of attraction for real people in some contexts, but,
the hegemonic expectation for women is that all expressions of sexual desire must be routed through reference to pregnancy (e.g. "my ovaries are exploding" "he's so hot he got me pregnant from across the room" "I'm horny so I must be ovulating" "I want to birth his babies")
& just on a social analysis level, (I obviously have zero judgement for any individual woman, cis or trans, who finds erotic potential in the idea of pregnancy) it is occasionally depressing to me that for a significant number of women, expressions of attraction are so locked to bioessentialist misogynistic notions of sex being "for" reproduction that it is considered somewhat deviant to just talk about getting hard and/or wet and wanting to fuck. everything goes through this abstracted euphemistic metaphor of sexual desire as reproductive desire.
