- swag coat Joseph has prophetic dreams and, as mentioned earlier, a swag coat gifted to him by his father / prophetic dreams and swag clothes? you KNOW we are talking abt my girl Nona. every day we get Nona's prophetic dreams, and girlie cried over a t-shirt w a moustache on it. point 1 to Nona.
- Joseph's brothers eventually try to kill him, but divert halfway thru bc they have a better idea of selling him as a slave and just telling their dad that he's dead / whose death gets faked in this series? our As Yet Unsent crew (Corona, Judith, and Cam) obviously, but of the three Judith is the least on board with this plan, so let's say this point goes to Judith.
- as a slave, Joseph gets imprisoned after being framed for a crime he didnt commit, and eventually helps out a fellow prisoner who in future has the ear of the pharoah / gonna give this one to Judith as well. girlie has been wrongfully imprisoned, and in this vein, Corona could be our stand-in for the other prisoner, bc she's the only reason Ianthe helps out Judith on New Rho.
the rest of swag coat Joseph's story might have parallels in atn? it's hard to say. anything prophetic of Judith's is actually Varun's to give, and while his story improves muchly from that point on, it puts him in a position of power over the people that wronged him in the past, and tlt does a great job of subverting expected plotlines like these.

Re: tags contemplating the goblin emperor: nothing at all like the locked tomb, but both DO have an immense amount of language and worldbuilding quirks that you just get abandoned in the midst of and told to Figure It Out, and they also both have an exaggeratedly stoic female character who wants to duel people VERY aggressively. and they also both like a bit of Renaissance drama. So yk..... They're like second cousins once removed or smth

but fr, I have the vague shape of the rest of it mapped out in a separate document, so it is not necessarily abandoned for good. I have always intended to keep writing it. I'll be real and tell you that one of the scenes that got published yesterday was only two sentences when I opened the doc determined to edit it and post. I wrote a whole scene yesterday out of full spite, so literally anything could happen. also, some of the scenes I did not post that are fully written for later on in the fic are very special to me, and I would not like to ley them convalesce forever, so I'll endeavour to get more of it out

Sending you an ask about your fic writing! It’s pretty cool that you write and edit in your notes app. What does your process generally look like?
Chaotic I would say! Namely that draft stuff across multiple platforms and transfer them into larger and larger portions via discord + ao3 drafting capabilities. I mostly post abt writing in my notes app bc sometimes I don't have access to my laptop (at work or just too lazy to boot it up and it's late at night), and when I do use my laptop I plug most of my draft stuff into office libre. So when I say stuff like "just wrote 4k in my notes app lol!" that's mostly me going "I should have just got up and booted up my laptop after all". In terms of editing, I'll edit as I go and double back when pieces get closer to being actually finished so I can check that I was actually correct in saying I did a full edit. I'm very happy go lucky w it I'd say. This is why I don't post very often. Get very turned around in what I'm actually interested in writing at the time and forget to finish off pieces that are almost done lol

anon, every single day I ask myself this question. which is not what you wanted to hear I'm sure. I think of the remaining 4-ish chapters I had like?? 18k words written out. 23k if we count my outlining as well. I always meant to continue writing it but at this point I have drifted very far from the fandom and I think that my skill in writing has improved immensely since I last posted for wimc, so if I tried to continue it now the difference in quality would be too stark for me to be cool with.
I have toyed w the idea of compiling my outline notes and the snippets of scenes I wrote for the last 4 chapters into semi-coherent chapters to post, and honestly if enough people were interested, I would do it. But like. That's a big if.
In any case, you're not being pushy and I appreciate the support. Wimc is just also one of the things that haunts me when I cannot sleep at night ya know? Much love
