Flores In Color

I've been working on my first drawing in about six months. Decided to jump back in with some digital art using Ibis Paint. I've started the shading in the top left corner and I think it'll take a while to finish. Loving doing some art again! 🎨❤️

I haven't done any drawing or painting for about six months - I think I needed a break as I wasn't feeling inspired.

However I've still been doing some creative stuff in the meantime. I'm knitting multi-colored striped panels to be crocheted together to make a blanket. I'm by no means the world's best knitter but I enjoy relaxing doing plain knit (garter) stitch. I've almost finished two panels so far. 🧶

I've also been working on some diamond art. 💎

I'm beginning to feel inspired to draw again and I think I'm going to start with some digital art before I get back into paper and pencil. Watch this space....

As I said in my post a few days ago, I'm not producing much art at the moment due to some artists' block, although I hope to be drawing and painting again soon!

Just finished my latest piece of art! 🎨 As I thought, the shading was time-consuming. It was worth it, though, as I'm happy with how it turned out.

My friend and I went to a beginner's calligraphy class this afternoon, run by Love Letters by Amanda Calligraphy at Blend Colorado in Denver. Loads of fun and very relaxing!

I'm a little late posting this as the mural was unveiled in Carlisle, Pennsylvania on October 22nd, but the mural I painted a tile for is complete and my tile is in there! So great to be a part of something like this!

Progress so far of my latest piece of art. 🎨 I'm about to start adding the shading, which is going to take a while I think.

A couple of line drawings of those beautiful chrysanthemums from our garden. The drawing on the left was done using my glass pen and purple ink. The drawing on the right was done using colored ballpoint pens (orange and green).

Just finished my latest digital painting! 🎨 The inspiration for this one was a photo I took of some orchids at Denver Botanic Gardens about a month ago.

With cold weather apparently approaching, I thought I'd photograph some of the beautiful chrysanthemums in our garden before they're gone.

I enjoyed a visit to Denver Botanic Gardens yesterday. Loads of inspiration for future art projects! 🎨🌺

I spent some time this week working on these two paintings, but I'm just not feeling it and I feel like they're not working out. I'm not the best painter, to be honest. I'm going to set these aside for now and maybe go back to them in the future. Now to start another colored pencil drawing instead! Or perhaps some ink line art.
