❀꫶̯͙ࣺ˖̑͡ take me to the lakes

husband!sukuna & baby!yuji doing the ‘pretend i’m dad’ trend except…

you’d been away for work for a few days and it seems you had a lot to catch up on.

because in the time that you’d been gone, your husband and your son had come up with a new…roleplay game.

you’re only introduced to it when you’re lounging on the couch with sukuna sprawled across your lap while you mindlessly card through his hair talking about nothing.

yuji runs up to the both of you and pokes sukuna on his leg.

“pretend im dad”

you’re confused for a second, chancing a glance at your no-bullshit-grumpy husband who surprisingly plays along.

sukuns mimics yuji’s baby voice all too well saying “uhhh dad can i watch tv…?”

baby!yuji makes a very familiar stern/grumpy face (gosh did your genes try at all), “no you can watch youtube..”

but-but daaad i wanna watch spongebob” sukuna mocks.

baby!yuji proceeds to furrow his brows.

“you can’t watch that shit”

instead you stand up, hiding your nerves.

“i have my terms”

it was surprising how patient this…monster was with you. you didn’t know how else to refer to him.

husband…?

a flush rose up to your cheeks at that thought.

“don’t get all mushy on me now, go on” sukuna grinned, nothing ever did escape his notice.

“you must go away now, it is…not proper” you spoke firmly.

“proper?” sukuna had never been so amused in his life, to be asked to practice chastity from one’s own soon to be wife, huh..

“it may seem silly to you, but it matters to me, go then and come back in a moon” you raise your eyes to match your gaze with him just to see a look so raw you couldn’t place it as to what.

what could it possibly mean?

“we’ve only just met, wife. yet you ask me to leave?” sukuna quirks a brow.

you nod shyly.

“fine” is he…pouting?

you didn’t want to assume but the creature they’d asked you to fear so much didn’t seem all that scary up close.

“not before i get something in return” he continues.

and…that’s you must never be too trusting.

before you know it sukuna, has you pinned against the wall. a primal urge surges through him as he breathes in your scent deeply.

“w..wait—“ you brace your hands on his shoulders.

hmm” he breathes.

you gulp, searching his eyes…for something.

he nods stepping away, and then he’s gone leaving his touch and his promise of a proposal behind.

sukuna leaves for now, and in a month you wed him as his lawful wife.

all goes to plan, maybe the illusion of choice worked out in your favor then.

fin.

firefly; this was so #episode of me, i wanted to try this idea here on tumblr I HOPE YOU GUYS ENJOYED

your breath comes out in a sharp gust not before sukuna pulls you back by your ankle and clamps your mouth shut with one of his hands.

“no one’s gonna help you now, princess”

your eyes frantically dart around, as you bite down sharp on his hand.

sukuna hisses pulling his hand off of your mouth and shaking it dismissively.

“nasty little thing” he tightens his almost bruising grip on your ankle.

“don’t you worry, you’ll be just fine” now he’s got you up and above his shoulders, his inked tattoos glistening under the shift of his muscles.

sukuna starts to climb out of your window, as you kick and fuss for him to put you down.

“take a look one last time” he whistles at your antics, “you’re coming with me now”

now that the king of curses had you in his grasp, it was foolish of you to believe you’d have a say otherwise.

now you must live out your days at his mercy, if only you’d just given in since the start.

how easily you fell for the illusion of choice.

fin.

firefly; better luck next time!

feed the curiosity

against your better judgment, you smooth the parchment flat across your desk.

the letter seems to be almost...expectant.

you dip your quill into ink, debating as the nib hovers.

what does one even write to a man who has announced your future as though discussing tomorrow's weather?

you should refuse him. you should curse his name.

instead, your lips twitch.

if he had the audacity to send you a letter, then perhaps you had the audacity to answer it.

you begin with a determination.

to Lord Ryomen Sukuna,

if this is your idea of a marriage proposal, i should hate to imagine your courtship.

no one alive seems foolish enough to tell you "no."

i confess there is one thing i cannot understand.

why me?

surely there are women far more beautiful. far more accomplished. far more willing to become your wife without questioning your every word.

have you exhausted every other option?

or are you simply incapable of finding anyone who can tolerate you for more than an evening?

since you've neglected to explain yourself, i find my curiosity rather inconvenient.

very well.

i accept your proposal...

— your unwilling bride.

burn it / refuse it all.

you rise with a fury, walking up to the hearth.

who the hell does he think he is? i'm not a coward to surrender my own freedom, he cannot force me into obedience.

your grind your teeth tearing up the letter into bits and pieces.

a part of you fears it's consequences, but your rage towards him outweighed it all.

you watch the paper burn leaving nothing but ash.

you go back to lay on your bed, staring out at the moon. your brows furrow with your thoughts and an ominous restlessness settles over you.

thats when you spot it.

eyes, watching you.

not one but four.

before you can convince yourself you've imagined them, a hand. far too large, its fingers ending in claw-like nails hooks around the window frame.

the wood groans.

it's shutters are forced open as wide as they'll go.

your breath catches.

you scramble backward across the mattress, every instinct screaming at you to run, yet your body refuses to move.

a scream rises in your throat...

open the letter

part of an interactive illusion series, click here to begin.

you break the seal.

the parchment unfolds with an almost ceremonial slowness.

the handwriting is infuriatingly beautiful, you take a deep breath before reading the next line.

maybe a part of you knew that tredging further would seal your fate, forever.

to the daughter of The Great House,

you will be my wife.

there is no request within this letter, only courtesy.

our marriage will take place when the moon has completed its next cycle.

your family has already accepted my terms.

i deemed it appropriate that you hear the news from me rather than from trembling servants who cannot look you in the eye.

you needn't fear me.

not yet.

— Ryomen Sukuna

(scribed by his loyal servant : uraume)

a haze settles over you, you cannot discern your own thoughts. you detest your parents for giving you up so easily but what else could they have done? no one who went up against ryomen sukuna lived to tell the tale.

and underneath the resentment, a simple curiosity brewed: why you?

interactive : illusion

a letter from ryomen sukuna that determines your fate lands in your lap, what will you choose to do?

the letter arrives in a hushed manner.

from sunrise to now, sunset you had felt it's presence. servants shuffled away from you, no one spoke to you, your parents...well they looked at you with apologetic glances.

even the animals and plants seemed shunned away, as if nature itself was repulsed by the letter.

you feel the crisp paper beneath your fingers, turning it over to observe the seal. four eyes, they spoke for themselves.

ryomen sukuna, what could he possibly want from you?

you hesitate before opening the letter, chancing a glance at the moon and the fire roaring at your hearth within.

what should you do?

husband!sukuna : making forts with baby!yuji

the living room looked as though a storm had rolled through it.

every blanket in the apartment had disappeared from it’s closet, every couch cushion had been stolen, and dining chairs had been dragged away.

the dining table held a huddle of people, who you could only assume to be your husband and your toddler, under a massive makeshift blanket fortress.

slowly, you part the misshaped entryway to the fort and find baby!yuji and sukuna trying to put up fairy lights.

your heart warms at the crooked attempt and you clear your throat signaling your arrival.

sukuna, jerks completely back into a position of nonchalance as if he had nothing to do with this and baby!yuji crawls over to you.

“mama, d’you like?” he grabs your cheeks, making you admire his masterpiece.

you smile heartily at your son, eyes flicking up to your husband trying to understand what led to this.

“this is nice suki” you quirk a brow at him.

you watch as a slight tinge of pink climbs up sukuna’s neck into his cheeks, when he realizes what you’re implying.

he mumbles under his breath, “brat, wanted it”

you chuckle lightly, “didn’t think you were one to oblige

sukuna abruptly turns away from you, his heart pattering faster than usual at being caught when being tender towards his own son’s wishes.

gosh you wished he’d take it in stride, but alas you get an adorably annoyed husband, and an even cuter photocopy of him.

now that the lights are all set up, you all sit cross legged under the fort, the fairy lights casting a soft glow.

baby!yuji scoots closer until he’s practically sitting in sukuna’s lap.

“i haf ghost story” yuji whispers, mustering up his scary tone,

husband!sukuna : ragebaiting baby!yuji

to say the trip had been a smooth ride would be a complete lie.

who knew a weekend out in the mountains with your toddler would be 10x harder than you’d anticipated.

well there’s always firsts to some things.

sukuna and you had handled it better.

but baby!yuji on the other hand…not very much so.

for the past half an hour he’d been biting your ear off asking again and again ‘when will we reach home? or ‘why is home so far away?’

you’d answered patiently at first, but gods you weren’t a saint either.

rubbing your forehead, you took in a deep breath.

sukuna (who’d been watching this whole ordeal) shifts the rearview mirror to look at the spiky haired kid in the back, his son, yuji.

“hooome is so far away” he sing-songs in his deep voice clearly a tease towards yuji.

and.

yuji.

loses.

it.

“NOOOO” yuji shrieks.

you snicker behind your hand, looking at sukuna trying to hold back your laughter.

he continues, again in that same tone,

“HOOOOMMEEE is so far away~”

“MOOOM!!” yuji screams, again “tell him to stop”

now you’re full on laughing, clutching your belly for some measure of restraint.

“HOOOOME-“ this time sukuna’s completely cut off by yuji bursting into fake-dramatic tears.

you slap sukuna’s arm that’s holding the steering wheel mouthing, a soft ‘come on’ through teary eyes from laughing so much.

‘what’ he mouths back, a silly grin on his face, eyes flicking up at the mirror to look at yuji’s reaction again.

it was safe to say, that you both were enjoying this a lot.

you twist in your seat to speak to yuji, “papa’s gonna keep singing that, if you keep complaining yu”

baby!yuji just huffs in response, crossing his arms with a huge pout on his face.

you turn back around, “you can’t rage bait your son like that” you joke at your husband.

“gotta teach em’ young” sukuna shrugs continuing to drive on, with a surprisingly compliant yuji in the back.

husband!sukuna : lost in japan

throat suddenly dry, you swallow hard.

you almost want to get on your knees and beg that a day out with your family would go normally.

that you wouldn’t be stuck in your current predicament.

with furrowed brows you look to the left, at your husband.

gosh..

he’s in a worser state than you.

you’ve never seen sukuna like this, his serious expression a stark contrast against the lively joy of the amusement park. with his clenched jaw and eyes darting every which way.

in search.

sukuna’s eyes narrow when you touch him on the shoulder.

“i’m sure he’s somewhere here..” you’re not sure whether you’re reassuring yourself or him, “we’ll find him”

your son, 6 year old baby!yuji is lost.

bf!sukuna : is it so hard to behave?

going to a party with ryomen sukuna was akin to showing up to the battlefield with a known inhibition.

because sukuna made it his utmost job to make things difficult for you, for no reason.

you’d always been the shy type, parties were already out of your comfort zone and for that to be hindered by various public displays of affection did you no good. however sukuna loved to show you off and lay claim to who was his.

you’d been avoiding his kisses for a bit, whenever sukuna would lean in you’d just turn your face so he kissed your cheek instead.

sukuna knew what you were doing, he understood your game, in that tiny backless dress playing oh so hard to get.

you enjoyed teasing him and despite his frustration he loved to play along.

so when you feel sukuna sliding behind you with a hand on your waist and his breath inching closer to your backless dress, you’re quick to swat him off.

no biting, kuna” you narrow your eyes at him over your shoulder, your earring glistening and the curve of your back all the more pronounced for your man.

his bared teeth pause in motion as he takes a moment to collect himself and fight off his incoming frown.

nostrils flaring and with a tight jaw sukuna backs off for a bit, waiting, biding his time to catch you off guard when you least expect it.

heian!sukuna : disobedience

“you are a selfish woman” sukuna said decisively, his words as if to be etched in stone.

though the remark came from a point of worry you couldn’t help but wince under his implications.

“you think i’d do this on purpose? and for what reason, just to spite you?” you dropped any pretense for an honorific, completely stunned at your lovers behavior.

“and what about my worry, lest you brush it aside so easily..” he muttered, crossing both sets of arms infront of him like a quartet of a barrier between the two of you.

fine, he wished to be closed off then so be it.

you turned on your heel, clearly done with the conversation. your robe bellowed behind you while you walked away, as far away from him as you could across the shrine to your chamber.

it was bad enough that he’d had the last word, worse even that you wished he’d follow you.

but he didn’t.

that was the last conversation you’d had with him in the past week. in an act of stoicalness you demanded the servants to serve you meals separately.

so what if the lord wished for your company? you would deny him all of it altogether.

sometimes the servants would linger leaving a pinprick of hope in your heart as you awaited to hear any word from him, an order, a calling, sign of truce.

but the king of curses did neither.

in such a manner the sun set and rose seven more times, you knew because you’d counted. thoughts of inner unhappiness started to ebb and bloom.

it seemed that his absence-no rather his stubbornness had made you weak.

when you saw him in the garden you’d avert your gaze walking away in the opposite direction, he on the other hand made sure to take the longer route lest he pass your chamber and be tempted by old habits to give in.

but this time, ryomen sukuna had made up his mind, he would certainly under no condition fall victim to your game.

a game he named in his mind, where he’d explicitly tell you to not do a certain thing and you’d go ahead and do just that.

heian!sukuna : lazy summer days

summer, a rather dreadful season for all involved.

the sweltering sun beat down on his shrine harsher than usual bringing news of an incoming heat wave from word of mouth.

servants ushered in and out changing spots for swaying the rectangular frame back and forth using a rope, like a makeshift fan hanging from the ceiling.

sukuna lounged with his arms and legs spread wide to lay off the heat with you curled up along his side.

you’d tried to get away from him, his body which (unfortunately for the season) was a natural heater. but sukuna would wrap a large hand around your ankle and pull you back.

every single time.

the day droned on and you were bored..so very bored.

you’d stripped down to the simplest clothes, a sheer linen barely wrapping your body while sukuna’s bottoms hung low over his hips, chest bare and widely decorated with tattoos.

and suddenly his hand was on your stomach rubbing there lazily.

you frowned, speaking through a pout “stop touching me it’s hot”

he just…ignored you? unbothered, sukuna continued to rub and pinch at your stomach.

“stay away from me, you-you furnace..”

heian!sukuna : only softens when he’s sleepy

you knew better than to expect surrender.

the king of curses rarely ever gave in, with his head held high and his chest taut with assertion there was simply no room for pliability.

for a gentle, softness.

not until the last ray of sunshine had long crept away from the shrine and creatures friend and foe alike had returned home to the sole respite of slumber.

it was only then, in the quiet of the night when the monster vanished.

leaving in his wake a gentle giant, one you’d come to love more if not equally than his usual harsh demeanor.

not with you, never harsh with you, but you saw it in others. the terror he evoked for them in comparison to his ability to mold to your wishes.

sukuna was not one to be soft, no, not until you were both in bed and you dared to leave his embrace.

awoken at midnight with your throat mysteriously parched, you hesitated before shifting in the brute’s grasp.

sukuna’s hands were grabbed onto your every part, two arms around your waist and one behind your head the other lay lazily on your thigh.

were any servant to walk in, (impossible, lest they wished to keep their heads) the possessiveness in his grasp on you would be unmistakable to read.

you placed both hands over his, barely covering any surface area due to the his sheer size, and tried to push.

the foundation was solid, you were locked in lovable shackles.

husband!sukuna : beach episode

the sun pours over your body as you walk along empty handed with sukuna holding all the bags and beach equipment. baby!yuji patters along on the mildly hot sand, running on levels of adrenaline only a six year old could muster.

the beach is filled with families similar to yours, children playing in the water, people tanning in the deliciously hot sun and volleyballs being tossed around by large friend groups.

sukuna places down your lounging chairs with an attached shaded umbrella, and plops down with all the bags containing various miscellaneous things.

yuji sticks his tongue out slightly, eyes lighting up with mischief and tries to make a beeline for the water before you grab him by the collar.

“no one gets out there without sunscreen” you wave a finger at him, instructing him to settle down.

yuji pouts impatiently swinging his legs while you get out the bottle of kids sunscreen and rub it on every bit of his exposed skin.

your son wrinkles his nose when you reach for his face applying the lotion in soft rhythmic motions. you proceed to pinch his cheeks and give him a little kiss there while yuji giggles.

sukuna watches you fuss over the brat with mild amusement. his eyes squint under the sun, and drop to admire what you’ve got on.

a frilly little thing exposing your beautiful curves.

sukuna scans the area noting any men looking towards your general direction and stares them down with a cutting glare only he could manage. a look that screamed ‘look away before i come dislocate that head myself’ for good measure.

while yuji runs off to play in the sand, you turn to him with the sunscreen bottle in hand and a knowing smile.

“your turn”

husband!sukuna : groggy

you’d only meant to check on them for a second.

instead, you stopped in the doorway and forgot how to move.

the room was quiet almost fragile. pale afternoon light leaked through the curtains in soft stripes, painting the sheets gold.

and there they were.

baby!yuji was sprawled across sukuna’s chest like a starfish, one chubby cheek smushed against bare skin and tiny fist tangled in the collar of your husband’s shirt.

and sukuna..looked devastatingly human half-asleep.

his face was softened with exhaustion, eyes still closed, long lashes resting against his cheeks.

both their heads were a soft messy tuft of pink.

you felt your heart physically hurt.

and for a moment, neither of them noticed you.

until the floor creaked.

yuji stirs first with a tiny whine, blinking blearily. his little eyes are unfocused, heavy with sleep, and the second he spots you standing there his entire face lights up.

“mama…” it comes out all raspy and small his little hands reaching for you immediately without even sitting up properly.

and your husband, still barely conscious, tightens his arm around his son on instinct, protective even in slumber. his eyes crack open slowly.

what..” he mutters, voice rough with sleep.

heian!sukuna: on outliving you

and maybe he was finally being punished for the lineages he’d ended and the villages he had destroyed to deserve this.

a wife who became intellectual from the sake.

he approached you sure footed, he always knew where you were. just from the way you hugged your knees and gazed towards the sky he knew you were undoubtedly drunk.

you didn’t even look at him when he sat down.

“i demanded your presence” he spoke settling into a pose slightly similar to yours.

you hummed absently, “i was thinking.”

you’d gone strangely quiet.

that was always the first sign.

no dramatics. no stumbling around his estate. no demanding affection or starting arguments for entertainment.

instead, you became thoughtful.

suddenly you turned in your spot on the engawa, noting the lucidity of the night, and the silence that followed with the rest of the palace workers gone to rest until the next day.

“may i ask you a question my lord?” you patted sukuna’s thigh to get his attention.

he didn’t move, nor reply but didn’t object either.

“do you think people like me are remembered?”

sukuna glanced sideways at you, “people like you?”

you picked up ur drink and tilted the cup slowly, watching the sake shift inside it.

“women beside powerful men.”
