I have an account but i don't have anything on there... I'm very indecisive about what to do with my OCs they keep changing + they have been gathering dust for about a year... or two..... Art fight seems like a lot of fun i wanna participate sometime, but i think i'm too late this year

there used to be a 4th one but idk what 2 do with her rn...

I can't write good descriptions of them so you're gonna have to go off of vibes (which is what i've been doing since forever), maybe someday i'll figure out what to do with them and i'll draw a cool story with them and it's gonna be cool & awesome #trust

I used to draw them as people but i think i prefer drawing weird little critters much more so these designs are pretty recent and they'll probably change again. I just draw what's fun 4 me at the moment

Oh yeah also blue girl's a zombie but she's hiding her zombie parts with her emo hair and big scarf

Also unrelated to these guys this is my fat child Slanincho benevolent all-powerful all-seeing god that some friends and i made in middle school. I love my blue baby dearly. ( :B )

#current story i got with the first guys is that the blue gal's a zombie and is trying to figure out who she was before she died#and the rest of the gang are trying to help her but actually all of them were complicit in her death in some way#so trey're trying to cover up the parts they were responsible for#and none of them have told each other about being complicit in zombie girl's death#man... they really need names#anyways#i feel they're very underbaked but thank you for asking about them#ask

Robots are super cool but i have no idea how anything works, so don't look at it too close i don't really know how functional all this would be (no way those legs are able to carry him). Also the suit gives him more shape i guess?

I got a lot better at drawing and composition in university, but before that i practiced a lot by myself.

And thank you for keeping up with my work!

Here's some stuff i've drawn to practice (i hope it's not boring), not a lot of uni work here, i'm feeling weird about sharing it for some reason. Mostly referenced from some cool photos i thought would be challenging to draw

I'm happy you think i characterize him well, though i don't know if i can give you any good tips. I pretty much never wrote anything before making comics on here, so it feels like winning the lottery anytime i figure out how to write anything. I often go back to look at his in-game dialogue, so i dont stray too far from the way he acts and what his motivations are. And i just try to pretend i'm Tenna when i'm making something with him.

Even if you feel like you can't get him right you should still go for it, i think! I'm constantly doubting my own writing. But regardless if it's accurate or not - it's better to have an imperfect comic than no comic at all!

Yippiee! Thank you for asking, now i get to yap! I hope this makes sense!!!

I usually make a super rough sketch with the main things that i want to happen (sometimes i try to write stuff down, but i've yet to complete one of these lol), like a SUPER rough sketch. First one here's from this comic, and the other one is from something i haven't made yet (i'll get to it eventually)

When i have the idea down roughly i sketch out all the pages. I use a bigger brush when sketching, so i don't get sidetracked with drawing too many details. I also write down the dialogue with the same brush, it helps me not go overboard with it - if i have trouble fitting it in the sketch even after moving things around, i shorten it, or continue on the next page.

I try not to have too many things happening on a page, because it gets hard to balance everything - it's either too many drawings or too much dialogue.

It's a bit hard to describe the paneling, but i usually try to have something break out of a panel, or not be contained in a panel at all. (sometimes for extra impact, and other times just because it makes the composition look a bit cooler LOL) Like in the first page - the jukebox being in front of Spamton and Tenna's panels, sort of interrupts them and it looks like that's drawing Tenna's attention to it.

I also try to think about which way the characters are facing. Since it's read left to right, if Tenna's on the left side of the page, i'd usually have his nose point to the right, where there's dialogue, another character or panel, so everything flows better. I try to have a clear line of where i want the reader's eyes to go

I don't know if the arrows were necessary, because these are kinda straightforward, but whatever. I sort of break the rule about reading left to right on the second one, but there's so many word bubbles that are connected, that it stops you from going down and left.

Other than breaking the panels i also try to vary the things shown in panels so it doesn't get too boring. Sometimes it's stuff from up-close, other times you can see the background. I also like to have one or two things on the page that are bigger and stand out more, because it makes the composition more interesting.

I didn't talk about the coloring at all but here's the best explanation i have for my process.

I might have rambled for a bit too long, oops! This is pretty much what i think about when making comics!
