The hilarious thing about it, is they gained power. Then, when put in positions to prove the conspiracy theories and lies they have been peddling, they face plant in the glowing luminescence of facts and reality.

Since the 70’s, extensive research has been conducted, by the oil companies themselves, proving the detriment fossil fuels cause, not only to the environment, but to human health in general.
Studies have shown that nearly all Americans have about a credit card worth of microplastics in their bodies. From the brain, to the reproductive organs. This is well known and well documented.
It would be different f there was no other alternative to oil based plastics, and for that matter, no other source of energy. The combustion engine is over 100 years old. You can’t tell me that is the best technology we have for personal transportation. The alternatives for energy feeding the grid are available and viable as well.
So why then are we still using coal, natural gas, gasoline and diesel? One word….
Greed.
It may have been covid, it may have been a new generation coming of age and entering he workplace but, customer service is a thing of the past.
This can be frustrating at times. Big companies working on skeleton crews, no employees to assist or even answer the phone. A lot of this is corporations squeezing every last cent of profit to their shareholders and bottom line. They run with the least amount of employees, paying the bare minimum in wages all in the name of unchecked capitalism.
I DoorDash occasionally to make extra money and I see this first hand. I also see an older generation that gets upset, and at times angry at the level of poor service given.
Just recently I had a conversation with a boomer at a fast food restaurant while I was waiting on a dash. He was apoplectic that it had been over 10 minutes since he ordered. I tried to explain to him that these people make $9 an hour, asked him if he would go above and beyond for that amount of pay. He was in disbelief that that was the going rate for food service workers. I expanded to him that if he is to be angry at someone it should be the corporation for paying such dismal wages, that $9 an hour isn’t a living wage.
I do not think I broke through. He huffed, and he puffed, and he left with his food saying he’ll never come back. To which the employee couldn’t care less.
Jim Farley is picking up on what our generation is saying. Which is… PAY US A DECENT, LIVABLE WAGE, OTHERWISE YOURE LUCKY I EVEN SHOW UP…
With CEO’s making record earnings while the average worker can’t survive on a single job the whole dynamic of the system isn’t working.
Without workers there are no profits. Even with automation, how does a consumer based economy survive when no one can afford to purchase goods or services. This is where we have the power.
If I don’t show up for a shift I lose maybe a couple hundred dollars. If the majority of the workers don’t show up these companies lose MILLIONS!
The power is in our unity as the American workforce. Too long have these greedy corporations gotten immensely wealthy off the American people, and too long have they taken us, and their employees for granted.
I am not a big ford guy, had a couple of their trucks that seemed to forever have issues but, good on ford for realizing that the employees are an essential component of making profits.
