Background text is 'Atlas: Eight' by Sleeping At Last. Inspired after I saw an exquisite music video.

I didn't like my last Thorin sketches all that much, only to get a number of kind comments, (including one that asked me to 'please, never stop drawing Thorin' you know who you are.)

So I did another Thorin, trying out a new technique, only to be eminently disappointed in this one as well. Not that you people seem to care. Perhaps I'll like more when I finish the rest of the page.

Indeed, the final result of this page is better than where I started off.

I'm considering painting a mountain in acrylics on the opposite page, both as something to fit the subject and also as a test. I've never used a Moleskine sketchbook before so I don't know how it will handle acrylics, hence there is a certain amount of fear in my heart.

But fear is the mind killer and I must permit it to pass over me and through me.

*cue Tolkien rolling in his grave.

Anyways, what do you guys think I should put on the other page?
