That's right, the time has come to make the master digitized copies of the production artwork of Revolutionary Girl Utena, via insane scans of the massive two volume Hardcore of UTENA artbook.
Because of how the forum software works, I'll be going in reverse order through the books, which means we start with the movie artwork. This is artwork I do have on the gallery, via the original scans Rushita made of the swap cards they're printed on. But those had frames, and these? Clean. Beautiful. Some of that is their work, and a lot of it is mine. This will be a slow process. If you like it, consider supporting our efforts, or just coming to hang out with us on our forum, Something Eternal! There you will find an incredible ongoing archive of Utena magazine clippings and artbooks, as well as our scanlated Utena books! Yeah, it's like, plural now.
The 'master' copies of these scans are 10k pixels wide, and will eventually be on the Internet Archive. The uploaded copies are 6k. That's also an insane size. I'm adding this because I had to resize the 'smaller' copies even more to get Tumblr to take them.

Hey everyone! I am honestly always so neck deep in my Utena dragon horde of content that I don't deviate much to visit others!!!
I CAN recommend @hotwaterandmilk for an incredible collection of shoujo manga scans and furoku content, and @animarchive for the incredible collection of magazine scans there also. But for specific IPs and outside that, I couldn't say!
SO I'M ASKING Y'ALL! What other amazing anime/shoujo/archive/whatever efforts have you come across? :D

I've scanned (it takes two scans per page) the 1997 Newtype Magazine run of Revolutionary Girl Utena, with each page I found referencing it scanned. You can see the buzz climb to its highest in the page count, even!
I will eventually add the next few months, since they do indeed have Utena content, but as it is, this is already a huge amount of stuff. In each Newtype, I've scanned the cover, table of contents, any Utena spreads or articles, the episode summaries and ratings pages, and even the Utena adverts and Utena fanarts! I've also scanned extra tidbits like Masami Okui's solo album MA-KING adverts, and spreads featuring voice actresses that include our illustrious cast!
There are more magazine clippings incoming, as well as a huge site update, and Utena Musical streams in late July/August!!! (I'm thinking of doing a bromide giveaway along with them, and either way will announce more!) Now to go post in the Weekly Watch thread! Oh God, we got to Aki-

That's right! Nagumo translated and I scanlated The Utena Dossier, a 36 page supplement with character sheets, massive interviews, comics, and more!!! (The interviews are so long I also made them into website pages, and also the entire thing can be downloaded as a PDF.) Or, you can view the whole thing in the gallery section of Something Eternal, our happy little forum!

Sorry about the lack of posts, I (Vanna) have been absolutely crushing the final stretch of a MASSIVE project I took on over a year ago--the Duelist Bible. This was only 36 pages. The Duelist Bible? That fucker doesn't drop until September 1997, but it also has 100. Some real print media history coming your way soon, stay tuned!!!
(Also, yes, I do mean to stream the musicals soon coming up, we're just kinda ironing out some hardware stuff.)
