I do enjoy a good visual gag, and an old favorite of mine is β€œthere is Math on a Board in the background that contextually makes no sense.” This broadly comes in 3 flavors I enjoy:

β€’ the board is in front of a classroom, and the Math is waaay too advanced for whatever level of pupil these kids are supposed to be; like having the calculus integral in front of kindergartners, or relativistic physics in front of high schoolers.

β€’ the board is in front of Criminals, who are Planning Something, and by all rights there ought to be no Math there to begin with. Like. You’re planning a Heist why do you have the Full Lagrangian on there. Are we taking a rocket to the bank.

β€’ the characters are super-genius science fiction people. The Math is β€œPiβ‰ˆ3.24” with an unlabeled pie chart.

having the kind of ocd where I need to record and document everything is so fucking funny to me. god man today is really pissing me off ..... sighs and opens my tracker app and increments my cigarette counter by 1

you think I'm joking. you think I'm fucking joking. I paid 14 real american dollars so I could have as many trackers as I want and you think I'm JOKING

doing whatever the fuck you want and saying whatever the fuck you want and treating your body like it's as disposable as a plastic fork and losing ten pounds in two weeks and thinking nothing can ever really be that bad because you can always just like die if it gets too bad and you'll probably die soon anyways so like who cares is so fucking awesome when you don't have an annoying bitch in your ear telling you you're going to have to let go eventually. this isn't your forever. this isn't anyone's forever. it's impossible for this to be a forever kind of situation and you know that. but like fuck that guy right

Tips for writing someone dying of sepsis, as a person who survived it:

1. It fucking HURTS!!! Wherever the infection is will be red hot to the touch, and also be in extreme pain. My infection was in my left ankle and if I tapped my left foot on the ground, I would be crying in pain

2. They are not able of having in depth conversations. The infection messes with your head, even if it is far away from your brain. For me, I was so incredibly tired all the time. You could talk to me, but I felt like I was living in molasses the whole time. It was very, very hard for me to hold a conversation with anyone

3. The person is sick in EVERY WAY. I was throwing up constantly, I could barely keep food down, and anything I did eat made me feel sick afterwards. I was also so weak that getting myself into my kitchen from my bedroom would wind me. My apartment is less than 700 square feet. It is not a far distance between the 2

4. The gut feeling. I was keenly aware something was wrong. I knew, in my heart of hearts, that I was dying. Its hard to describe other than your body is telling you "youre about to die"

5. If it’s a modern setting, they will give you SO MUCH IV FLUID in the hospital. SO MUCH. Your kidneys need it to help flush out the toxins. I had to get up to pee literally every single hour for two full days, which was practically torture.
