INTRO

[ hi!! my name is drift, maple, or oli !

I've been vaguely interested in xenogender coining for a while and am just starting to post about it! Please be a little patient with me if I dont necessarily know much about the community / how to format posts, im famously bad at making anything look pretty!

My pronouns are primarily mae/mim/mair, min/min/mins and xe/xem/xer, but he/it and other neopronouns are alright as well

I'll probably end up coining genders mostly based around nature? But we will see!

I'm excited to post some more!! ]

[ just basic dni ! ]

[ im a 21 year old uni student with an apprenticeship, if theres particular discourse i likely wont see it. dont be surprised if I dont speak on anything, this is sort of just for fun! ]

ASKS? REQUESTS?

[ asks and requests are open but ive never done this before so I cant promise anything!!]

Anonymous asked:

about scrapstick, could aporagender, neutrois or gendernull beings use your term? or is it agender exclusive?

Those can absolutely be used! I mainly used the term agender as I'm less familiar with other terminology, and scrapstick was coined with myself in mind (i'm a relatively small coining blog so i never expect stuff to get seen by many people :P )

But absolutely you can use it in these contexts and i welcome anyone who connects to the term for any reason to do so! Its created with agender and other genderless identities in mind but really if anyone believe the idea appeals to them, then thats for them to judge and me to be happy someone found a thing they like

The 2026 Gender Census is now open!

The 13th annual international gender census, collecting information about the language we use to refer to ourselves and each other, is now open until 13th August 2026.

It’s short and easy, for most participants it takes 5 minutes or less.

After the survey is closed I’ll process the results and publish a spreadsheet of the data and a report summarising the main findings. Then anyone can use them for academic or business purposes, self-advocacy, tracking the popularity of language over time, and just feeling like we’re part of a huge and diverse community.

If you think you might have friends and followers who’d be interested, please do reblog this blog post, and share the survey URL by email or at AFK social groups or on other social networks. Every share is extremely helpful!

The survey is open to anyone anywhere who speaks English and feels that the gender binary doesn’t fully describe their experience of themselves and their gender(s) or lack thereof.

Thank you so much!

PS: You can see some regularly-updated statistics about incoming data here, with lots of demography and graphs to peruse!

hello, do you know if theres a label for being attracted to women but also scared of them? im a trans man for reference and have trauma regarding girls & women.. also, most of my attraction to women only really extends to fictional women, especially since i have a boyfriend

hi! i don't know of any specific term, but i'll have a look around. if i don't find any, i'll coin one, and alternatives for a range of different genders :D if i do find one, i'll reblog on my blog so hopefully you can see it

xenogender best described as the feeling of finding something you weren't meant to find, something you were never supposed to see

  • already coined? consider this an alt
  • there is no incorrect way to use this flag
  • f2u no credit required but appreciated

Detritivoric - A gender related to picking up the scraps of other genders to form your own, it feels as if your gender is made from discarded parts rather than your own. These parts may be rotting or related to bugs and compost, however this is not necessary TAGGING : @rabidbatboy , @radiomogai

♡ 𓏼 𓈒 MEANFEMME

definition : this flag is a mixture of the mean lesbian flag and the femme lesbian flag

mean lesbian : a reclaim flag for lesbians, referring to a lesbianphobic stereotype that lesbians are inherently mean or rude

femme lesbian : refers to a person who embraces, reclaims, or subverts their culture's understanding of what it means to be feminine & a lesbian

coined by me , tfemhiroaki! unless someone already has >_^

I'm wondering if anyone knows any terms that would fit my experience. I'm mainly a transmasc butch agender lesbian as my identity, however I do often present femininely, and consider myself a transmasculine girl- my transmasculinity transitioned me towards being a girl in some ways.

However, from my upbringing, being feminine really feels like somewhat of a transition to me. My mum was never someone who really taught me makeup, or exposed me to the ideas of shopping or anything typically girly or feminine. I was dressed by my mum for years in very sort of... unassuming clothing? T-shirts and trousers and sometimes a jumper that maybe had a bit of a feminine fit, and I had long hair that I didn't do much with. So when I came out as transmasc, and started presenting more masculine, it honestly didn't feel much of a change from the norm. My mum wasn't happy I was presenting masculine, but it wasn't as if I was ever encouraged to be feminine in the first place.

So now I've started presenting femininely through my transition, I feel somewhat of a connection to the label transfeminine. My femininity really feels like it's something I've transitioned towards and it feels inherently trans. I'm transmasculine because well. I've transitioned towards a more masculine gender, but masculinity feels Less Trans for me than my femininity does sometimes? I don't really feel like I can have any claim to the transfeminine label though as someone AFAB, and even tho I am intersex it never impacted me being viewed as a girl in anyway as it didn't appear notable until my teens.

I'm just wondering if there's any terms that might fit this sort of experience because I'm really confused around it
