Fear the Forgotten Foes coming to Kickstarter!

Fear the Forgotten Foes is joint effort between Ben Fleuter and me, a project that followers of my blog are probably very aware of.

Be ready for the official spiritual successor to my "Horrors of the Dark" (Darkest Dungeon Monster Manual) to bring you 150 new monsters each featuring high quality artwork and gripping lore!

Words cannot describe the nightmare that was to write the Arcadian’s signature trait, “Meadow Dew," in which they create “a healing potion.” I left its exact nature vague on purpose. However you want to fill in these blanks, it is between you and God.

Gorgons are both the most assertive and dominant among the Urbos. But yet they retain their signature need to nurture. Though, in the case of Gorgons, saying “to rule and manage” would be more appropriate.

Catoblepas are untypically melancholic for holstaur and are very shy creatures, preferring the seclusion of morasses and marshes over the wider world. It makes them pretty rare and, if encountered, rather unapproachable, as they will commonly be afflicted with social ineptitude.

Urbos rarely settle down but are dedicated defenders of the areas they call their homes. They regularly patrol the roads of their mountain homes to drive out monsters and save lost wanderers.

While living as studious hermits, Misthorn is very welcome to anyone who finds their hidden abodes and will gladly host them for a few days. They are fond of anyone who seeks tutelage under their care and will freely share their knowledge with curious minds.

Arcadian Holstaur love to ‘adopt’ small villages and become their dedicated defender and caregiver. Therefore, you can expect holstaurs to appear in villages as healers, sheriffs, or, in some cases, their leaders.

Fun Fact: The Axylotl’s regenerative ability is based on the real ability of Axolotls to regenerate. They can even regenerate entire limbs as they remain in a perpetual larval stadium. #dnd5e #monstergirls

The name Brekkek was a fortunate coincidence of 2 terms: It consists of the ancient greek onomatopoeia for a frog’s croak as well as the web slang word kek often used in context with the meme character Pepe the Frog.
