As in, what HRT you are taking with what.

[just testosterone, or. oestorgen monotherapy or oestrogen with blockers ]

If any of you want to set up something for contraceptives, or whatever, I will be happy to reblog by the way.

It really is just a form that you manually input to a spreadsheet. It took me like ~15m to set up.

If there was a feasible way for me to undo the sheets, I would try and figure out a clearer way to show if someone is doing monotherapy or taking prog/blockers though without having to do a million mix-and-matches.

Anonymous asked:

Contraceptives are HRT, Hormone Replacement Therapy, and many folks who go on T for example do still have to take estrogen or progesterone ( including those that might go through menopause later )—does that still go beyond the scope of the study? genuine question, just wanted to clarify and understand

Kind of in the sense of logistically it is not something I have interest in figuring out.

I would need to create a separate file for progesterone-only contraceptives, for the combined pill, etc. AND also be cognisant of that some people are taking this with testosterone and some without. I don't have the ability, nor time, nor ability to do that. Any project of the size of what I am doing, is inherently a very limited one that ignores a lot of confounding factors.

I do not keep control of contraceptives, it is beyond the scope of what I am doing. I will also not put obesity in my sheet. I do not care about getting fat. Please do not respond with obesity.

I also understand that some of you are not happy that the order isn't fully alphabetical. To which I say: I have dyslexia and I noticed far too late.

Colours being steadily rolled out now on the sheets for legibility. Each colour corresponds with a different field [psychiatry, cardiovascular, etc.]

Keep getting asked questions on "Can intersex people on HRT fill this out?"

Here is the answer, which may not be satisfactory.

The purpose of these sheets is to help people be able to make a more educated decision on their own healthcare when starting HRT. It is specifically to aid people who have unsupportive doctors, transphobic doctors (and/or transmisogynistic doctors), who DIY, and so on and so forth.

Therefore:

  1. Intersex people I know have already filled it out and have had their data added in.
  2. I am not opposed to how HRT specifically affects intersex conditions being listed. I think that would be very needed and would help people I know in real life.
  3. People I know in real life who are on HRT for health reasons and not transition beyond being intersex have also filled it out and I support this.
  4. If anyone reading this thinks their experience on hormones is relevant to helping people make better predictions on the intersection of HRT and disability, they are welcome to fill it out.

What I want people to remember is with a project this size, there is a limited amount of information I can gather before

a) it becomes personally identifiable

b) it becomes so big it crashes.

email to: disabledandtrans@protonmail.com or fill out this form

if you experience any disability or neurodivergency please fill out this form. it is equally important to me to have data that says progesterone doesn't affect autism or testosterone doesn't make you hard of hearing or whatever, as it is to document changes. so if you have any health condition. please fill it out. even if it to say "no change". i am begging you all.

and if you can't. please. please do reblog. i need this to be as big as humanly possible. it is the best way forwards to inform decisions.
