Our days are numbered

Abby/Ellie, The Last of Us

“I’m the girl, I’m the one you want!” “What the hell’s she talking about?” someone asks. “Look at me!” Ellie shouts, and the girl finally meets her eyes. “Yeah, you fucking remember me, don’t pretend you don’t, Abby.”
After stumbling upon Abby torturing Joel in the lodge, Ellie offers herself up for the cure as long as they agree to leave Joel behind. Ellie still wreaks havoc in Seattle, and their relationship grows increasingly tense when they have to work together to get to the hospital.

crossfaded somewhere between "there has to be more to life than this" and "every mundane thing is beautiful when you're with people you love"

Reposting this coz i saw it in my camera roll again this is by far one of the funniest interactions ive come across on ao3

the tragedy of tumblr is you will inevitably meet people who you should be having a sleepover with. you should be rolling around on their floor and rummaging through their fridge and watching shitty movies with. you should be shopping with should be going out to a cafe with should be wandering through the aquarium with. people who you should be experiencing quotidian joys with... and you cannot! because they live one million miles away

probably the worst attitude tumblr unintentionally cultivates is "the world out there is completely dangerous for you and no one can possibly understand you, so you should isolate yourself from it and avoid interacting with it as much as possible"

Time to roll out the Andrew Marr quote again...

"If you put away social media and you walk out into the streets and you look at real people, three-dimensional people, they mostly smile back at you. If you look around you- you see perfectly decent, ordinary people getting on with their lives and inclined, by and large, to rather like each other, that is the real us. Let us not be fooled."
