And thinking more about this post, what if grillz in the omegaverse became a thing bc black ppl, though specifically black alphas, were stereotyped and assumed to be more aggressive than other skin colors; so because of this, there was a time period where alphas, and some omegas and betas depending on who/what/where/when, had to wear muzzles or caps on their teeth. Or they would straight up have their teeth ripped out.

Stay with me here.

In the beginning, they weren't optional. It wasn't a fashion choice or anything. It was slave masters forcing black people to keep them from bonding with each other or fighting back, they would cause tooth decay bc they couldn't take them off, they were painful and would often cause bleeding and infections in their gums, etc.

So we fast forward a bit to the Jim Crow era. Not slaves anymore (somewhat) but not free either. Black alphas still wear tooth caps for various reasons, but mostly for safety. Example being; a white omega claiming that you forced a bite, or threatened one, and while the tooth caps didn't always stop black people from being killed, there was at least some way to have deniability. I also believe it was the times "standard". Alpha pups asking why they have to wear things on their teeth and parents saying that's just what we do.

Now we go a little bit further, to the 90s. Black families now have these as heirlooms, kids grew up seeing their parents and grandparents wear or display them. It gets passed down as a tradition, maybe to gift your alphas with what we now know as grillz. They take on a whole new meaning.

What used to be something to hold us back, enslave us, and control us; becomes something seen as family and strength. They become a way to posture, and show off to potential mates, while also holding our history and culture close.

I think about owning land and living on it with my pack

Everyone having everything they need, living in our own houses, maybe having a main lodge for whole group activities and community events, holidays, birthday's, just getting to celebrate as a pack.

Growing our own food, in our dirt. People raising animals if they want, sharing it all.

Getting to run around and be free, without worry.

Building forts and dens around the property, having trails we can walk on.

Just having space for my pack where we can be safe and happy and care for each other and be creatures like we want to be

You’re going to want: Pillows, Blankets and plushies (optional) you can also add hoodie/shirt of mate (or comfort items) etc. it’s all about comfort so make your nest to your liking!

Now there’s some options, you can make a “potato bed” (first & 3rd image) or something else. Usually nests are not in the same spot you sleep, but if you don’t have the space or the money the bed might be the best option.

If you have a twin, i recommend pillows on foot and top of the bed for decorating, the rest you fill with blankets on top. Hoodies or shirts or tiny blankets are great for the sides if you’re next to a wall because you can scrunch them tight and pack them close up!

Okay so because of how my bed is rn and how I sleep this is my bed nest

My comforter is actually for a full twin, and is my mate’s old comforter so what I do was I folded in the sides (since they were hanging off the bed) to create a small but moveable barrier. (I move in my sleep a lot.

The red pillow and mushroom pillow are for comfortable sitting on the bed and are on top of my old comforter

Now this is my nest nest, I hangout here the most due to wanted to keep bed for sleeping.

Unlike my bed it is enclosed on 3 sides, with the one open side leading to a small den under my bed (though this den is used for age regression)

Under the throw blanket is an hold sleeping bag and under that is 2 small blankets covering the carpet

There’s pillows on all sides and it is very comfy

I can sit in the corner, or against the right wall, or lean against the ottoman(brown object in very front) or lay down against the teal pillow

nest/den/brood moodboard bc i need to feel cozy

Okay so I was scrolling on TikTok and you know the whole Kay Thompson cheating on Megan the stallion thing but I saw Megan wearing grillz, and I’m white so you can tell me if this is like the wrong thought process here,

but it hit me that in the misceverse Grillz are probably an amazing to prevent claiming bites and/or to emphasize the canines (which I think personally is a beauty standard in the community.) like imagine an alpha wearing these almost to show off their teeth. Wouldn’t that be so cool?! almost like a status symbol!!

Any Black person/Grillz wearer feel free to hop in the discussion because I neeeeedddd to know what ya’ll think especially since I don’t see much talk on this sort of thing!! Misceverse fashion/beauty is sooo under talked about and I feel like it needs more rep!!

Don't wear grillz but I AM black and I'm SO glad someone else has thought of this I proposed this idea to the void YEARS ago and I still think it could be applied in cool ways!!

I could definitely see alphas wearing it as a status symbol, particularly ones that emphasize the canines. I think In a world where teeth and so much more. Uh. Prevalent. In society. What with the claiming bites and all. They could be more commonly used this way and less generally stigmatized like they are now. Still very much popularized and revolutionized by black Americans tho. But even beyond America imagine what other cool teeth ornamentation would flourish worldwide... Posibilities

Maybe they're primarily used by alphas, but more alternative omegas began wearing them in defiance of stereotypes. I think an omega wearing grillz like that would be especially impactful as it highlights their teeth meant for claiming in a society where omegas claiming their partners is stigmatized, alphas being positioned as the ones who claim their omega partners in every sense. Also emphasizing danger and power, which society looks down on in omegas. Yes I think about this a lot

Oh ABSOLUTELYYYY TO ALL OF THISSS I could also see omegas wearing reverse canine(? Is that what you call em?) Grillz, like ones on the bottom teeth especially as a rebellion (attached pics as examples!)

I also agree that it would be wayyyyy less stigmatized and I’d argue very popular actually!! I imagine particularly alt couples would get matching Grillz with each other’s initials on it, like gold tooth caps with the first letter of your name in a heart. Maybe alphas would get the Alpha symbol on their Grillz, or just the misceverse symbol.

Also to add All sorts of tooth adornments would be popularized like tooth paint and tooth gems as well although definitely less popular than Grillz, I imagine teeth painting would be a bit more of a common sight, mainly to protect the canines from damage or to show off wealth in more Asian countries. Matching jewels may be imbedded within mates teeth as well!!
