Most things about Palworld are ideally discovered by the players themselves by exploring the menus and experimenting.

I‘m going to reveal ONE THING, however, that I overlooked and wouldn’t have minded being told:

The quick storage option in your inventory menu while at bases. Use it, love it.

Also, just a general bit of advice: Take a minute to carefully look over the menus, and do this while in a base.

Look over the menus because that will answer several questions right there…

…and do it while at a base in case there’s anything base-specific (also, it’s safer at a base).

I've said that, for me, Palworld is functionally competing with Bethesda games, not Pokémon.

Proof of this is I want to take what I've learned and restart the game this weekend before I've even come close to finishing it.

If that's not "Dan playing a Bethesda game" behavior, I don't know what is.

It's especially competing with Fallout 4. Even more so if Palworld ever increases base sizes (not inconceivable; they've been listening to what people want, and that's one such request).

Like, to heck with a Fallout 4 settlement. I can make bases run by monsters.

The preview text is the result of a space lobster once saying "I'm seeing a movie with friends!" in Futurama. If you read it in his voice, we have that in common.

Fallout 4 - Why Only 4 Hats Take Ballistic Weave

I hypothesized that the 4 hats that take a weave were an accident on Bethesda’s part, and decided to make a mod to remove the option because I’m weird like that.  This is what I found in the creation kit:

All four hats that take a weave are part of a group of clothes that begin with “ClothesResident”.

I think someone at Bethesda just added the weave to everything with the ClothesResident name, possibly as part of an automated script to save time.

THAT’S why a Battered Fedora is fine, but a Worn Fedora is not. None of them were supposed to have them, but the Battered Fedora is technically “ClothesResident3Hat”, so it gets a weave option.

This mad conspiracy theory is supported by none of the hats in ANY subsequent DLC being able to take a weave. I think the only reason they never fixed this is because they knew people would be furious to lose their Ballistic Weave hats.

Depth of character and the depth of any of their opinions are separate things.

Put another way:

“There’s more to this character” does not equal “there’s more to their hot take.”

This applies to real people, too, but I’m thinking from a writing perspective. They don’t have to have a good point 😅

Why? WHY?! The audacity of enjoying entertainment media! Justify yourself, lest you face the judgement of further judging! Simple enjoyment is NOT an acceptable explanation, get out of here with that!

Immortals in my comic always have really good memory. What they grow into with age is superior recollection with fewer triggers.

Put another way, a young immortal might need to jog their memory to make all the recollections they want to make. An old immortal barely needs to move a toe.

It can be argued that their brilliance is little more than being able to accurately search their inhumanly clear memories and find relevant connections at absurd speed.

(Don't point this out to any of them. The idea that they're more fast than wise might not go down well.)

What are the characters feelings on deep dish pizza?

I fear I am ill-equipped to answer this question, for I generally don’t eat pizza of any kind. My expectation is Susan would be unlikely to try it (sounds messy), but beyond that, I’m not sure. I’d need to look into the opinions of others and consider who among my characters would likely agree with what.
