The US Attorney’s Office in Minneapolis has charged fifteen people with “conspiracy to impede federal officers,” accusing them of defending their neighborhoods from ICE.

By removing the historical plaques from George Washington's house that acknowledged that Washington held enslaved people there in capitivity, the Trump administration wants to whitewash history.

On July 13, 2019, Willem Van Spronsen was killed by police while taking action to disable the fleet of buses that serve the Northwest Detention Center, a private immigration detainment facility in Tacoma, Washington.
Willem's courageous action took place in response to Donald Trump announcing a surge in ICE activity. Afterwards, an ICE official reported that it compelled the agency to move more slowly and cautiously, likely protecting many communities.
Everyone should read or re-read Willem's final statement today:
"I stand with comrades around the world who act from the love of life in every permutation. Comrades who understand that freedom means real freedom for all and a life worth living."
If a foreign army invaded this land, cut down the trees, poisoned the rivers, and forced children to grow up pledging allegiance to them, who wouldn’t take up arms against them? But when local executives and politicians do the same, patriots readily render their obedience, tax dollars, and children. They will even die to do to others what they would never let anyone do to them.

Gays, Crazies, and Motherfuckers: Anarchists in the Stonewall Uprising
What can today’s rebels learn from the Stonewall riots? Why did the uprising have such an impact? To answer these questions, we explore the previously unacknowledged significance of at least two anarchist groups—the Motherfuckers and the Crazies—in the rebellion and the movements that emerged from it.
