So I finally finished my first fanfiction bookbinding project:
Its all 600 pages of @arendellesfirstwinter ‘s Shakespearean tragedy- I mean kpop demon hunters fanfiction So We Were Liars.
I used @situationj0001 ‘s fanart for the cover and spinec, and @dremenec and @yaketysmax for the jacket (because the cover is a little too Female Presenting Nipples to be standing bare on my shelf where my mom can see it, AND because I simply could not choose between these gorgeous pieces of art)
I made the endbands by hand using gold, silver, blue and pink thread to reflect the colors of the honmoon
I severely underestimated how much work the typesetting was. APPARENTLY when you download a fic to PDF and the copy-paste the whole thing to word, you get a bunch of weird spacing-issues that just delete a bunch of random line-breaks so you get weirdly massive blocks of text where there used to be breezy spacious formatting.
BUT that's all fixed now and I’m SO happy with how it turned out
And of course I included the beautiful Art Gallery that ccis the last chapter of the fic. It’s been months since I printed it, so there are probably pieces that have been added since that are not in it, but I was kind of running out of pages anyway😅.
I briefly considered splitting it into two books around chapter 5(so the first part ends with a cliffhanger of course). But then I realized that that would literally be twice as much work, and 600 pages is not too extreme for a single book.cc
This project was definitely an act of extreme hubris, but my wax wings have not melted yet, so I’ll probably be doing it again sometime!cc

My live reaction: "Oh shit, we are killing ourselves today gamers!" It's hard to write jokes about abusing someone in the Weird Route (for me anyway), but Noelle taking agency(?) and committing double suicide (and murder)? Now there's room for a bit of black comedy. That's killing 3 birds with one lake, baybeee! I am still skipping WR in my comic tho. I just wanted to write this small joke.
I was trying to figure out how I wanted the serious depiction of WR to look, and these came out too cool for what I was going for, but they're still neat.
