not to sound super gate-keepy but can we please get more niche again i hate this </3 i hate that when i tell people im a therian the first thing they ask is if i do quads. that isn't what we should solely be known for. alterhumanity was never supposed to be mainstream and we have only suffered as a result

Life is going so good socially, I've made a friend that accepts for being an alterhuman and @cecil-speaks is back!! I love having people i can be comfortable with. Irl AND online!! I love yall both dudes :3 shout out to all these kind creatures in my life (only like 4 creatures)

Hello tumblr!! I need your help! I am looking for animals that are demonized and overhated. I'm trying to make a silly little song including as much of them in it as i can but I'm sure there's many i can't think of because I'm kinda dumb xD

So far I've got wolves, hyenas, vultures, bugs, wasps, hares, orcas/killer whales, snakes, spiders, sharks, rats, pigs, pigeons and musquitos!

If you have any other animals in mind, please share i would appreciate it a lot!

Anytime someone sugests an animal, I'll edit this post and add it here so creatures don't have to repeat each other :]

Already suggested: Dolphins, crows, skunks, sunfish, magpies, crocodiles, hippos, piranhas, flies, coyotes, mice, honey badgers, wolverines, stallions, hornets, foxes, jackals, angler fish, blob fish, umbrella eels, vampire squid and other deep sea creatures, bears

Am i the only one who feels really bad about being a wolf sometimes? Many critters in the alterhuman community talk about extraordinary and unusual 'types, but i feel like it's many times belittling critters who are "basic". I see critters talking about their unique thereotypes, and I'm really glad they do so! But many times they sneak in the "everyones a wolf or a cat". Like yes, there's many of us, but that doesn't mean we should feel any less good about being ourselves. I myself have many "unusual" and "unique" 'types, but I'm mostly a wolf. I just want to be a wolf without feeling guilty about the fact that I'm "basic" and "not interesting".

And of course i know it's not true, but it still makes me feel belittled and not good in general.

I saw that and it was so difficult to not interact- I managed to control myself and block them, but it made me livid to see. Being nonhuman is a big part of my personal religion (paganism) and seeing someone actively trying to convert others away from their identity and to their religion is fucking crazy and unimaginable to me, I don’t understand how someone could just post shit like this

No one’s identity is wrong, no one’s personal opinion on religion and how the universe works is wrong or right, if it really bothers you so badly to see others doing something you disagree with don’t interact or post in our tags. I fear that’s common sense but here we are I guess

I dont understand the need for a distiction between furry, otherpaw and kemonomimi.

Like from what ik it not really different? It certainly tends to look similar, yk with animal 'gear' and often anthro charcaters

Idk man it kinda feels like "omg nooooo im not a furry thats cringe, im this other thing thats basically the same but completely normal!!! Im not cringe"

I don't necessarily disagree, but i think that otherpaw and kemonomimi are more like subcategories of furry! Like they're all furries, but different types of them!

Kemonomimis are more just focused on animal like accessories and the aesthetics, otherpaws focus more on the masks and other gear that's usually and stereotypically associated with alterhumans and quadrobics
