spiderman movies are usually about how it’s hard to be spiderman but bnd was about how it’s hard to be peter
BTW, you remember the old “longhouse is perfectly constructed” post? I know it might seem embarrassing, but since making that post, my longhouse has been abandoned and ruined. It’s been 500 years since I made the post. These days instead of living in a longhouse, I walk around. Actually good for my ass muscle!
My longhouse is perfectly constructed. Every morning when I wake up in bed at the far end of my longhouse, I say my syllable. Then I spend all day sitting in bed. By sunset my syllable has traveled to the other end of my longhouse and back, and as it smacks me in the head, I fall asleep. My longhouse is perfectly constructed.
It’s so funny how like. Spock is queer bc of the subtext, the Otherness inextricable from his character, meanwhile William Shatner was handed the straightest man of all time on paper and fumbled the bag bc he couldn’t stop giving Leonard Nimoy fuck-me eyes and now he lives in a bi Kirk hell of his own devising, forever enduring the conshatquences of his shactions
losing my mind at this amazing story from r/dndmemes some people’s dnd adventures are just. So Fucking Cool
im a fucking sucker for the “character gets so badly injured that they can’t think clearly and start calling for help in a distressingly vulnerable way.” characters who start using nicknames for their friends they haven’t used since they were kids. characters who start begging for their brother they haven’t seen in years to be there. characters who would usually use their parents’ names or call them mother/father/etc crying out mama when they go down. u understand.
Beautiful, no notes. (Found it on Facebook, tracked it back to Reddit)
dude i just watched spiderman bnd and those poor new yorkers omg they can’t catch a break. mind you bnd takes place like right after thunderbolts so first they’re trapped in a maze of their worst memories and than they’re trapped by jean grey for who knows how long. and on top of that their streets are being trashed like every other day. i definitely would’ve moved away if that was me
obviously, everybody who signs up for dr. banner's class whispers about the hulk. but these are also science nerds—this generation grew up with pictures of him in their high school science labs. half of his students fan over the hulk, but the other half fan over the legendary dr. banner.
still, syllabus week devolves into a hulk q&a.
don't worry, he accounted for that in his lesson plan.
by week three, joking about the hulk becomes cliche. the kids start coming for bruce's bad jokes.
bruce's rate-my-professor score is pretty inaccurate. 30% are hulk fanboys, 30% are avengers haters, and 30% are bots. but that slim 10% in the middle have helpful reviews. "tons of classroom discussion. don't do the readings, he says everything in the lectures. but for the love of god start your papers early, you're going to have to talk through the prompts in office hours. they're so niche."
he runs a background check on every one of his TAs—paranoid that they're trying to get close to him for nefarious reasons. in a few instances, he's been right. but for the most part, they're just bright, passionate nerds. bruce is a nervous mentor. his TAs would all die for him.
there's always one student who comes up to bruce during office hours quiet. nervous. asking advice about "a friend of theirs" who got powers. bruce always plays along. but then he slides them the number of a superpower support group. you know. for "their friend."
his classes always have a wait list.
(almost) none of his students believe he just "snapped." the rest of the student body, maybe. but not them.
in the mental hospital, when he gets the first "get well soon" cards from them, he cries.
“MJ found a new boyfriend but Ned never found another best friend” …I hate this fucking fandom man. Ned was making his lil vlogs cause he felt somehow someway he needed to share his memories and life with someone out there 😭
He put in all this time and effort into finding Spiderman when really deep down he was just trying to find Peter. He didn’t know they were one and the same he just wanted his best friend back and did so in the only way he knew how.
It's really weird to me how people are shocked by Frank Castle's relationship with Peter Parker in the new Spider-Man movie. Frank had children before he became the Punisher. He had two little kids and he was a decent, loving father. Their being murdered along with his wife is exactly what pushed him over the edge into becoming the Punisher. They are why he does what he does. So it just makes sense that he was able to connect with Peter on some level.
Okay, chick

Alright we're doing a new story comic.
