I was commissioned to draw Granny Weatherwax, Nanny Ogg and Greebo by @lesnahod ♥ (really, the best kind of commission you can give me :D ). So here is Nanny, proudly showing Greebo in a new cat-hat ( which was sent to her by her grandson, since it´s a big hit at Ankh-Morpork). Oh, Granny is a bit too happy to see the torment of this poor creature x_x

morning reblog with sketches :3

Hi, I just wanted to say that I've loved your art for several years now, and I was so excited to see you posting here again. I love the expressive quality of your work and how much character you pack into every illustration! I hope you have a lovely day, feel free to not respond.

Hi, thank you, thank you! Lately I am strugling finding reason to post online but if it makes people happy...I am.glad to continue :D

Opening page of RUR comic and the last pages ♥ (I had a very strict deadline for this work, and I still regret that I had no time to draw a proper vegetation on the last page :/ )

oh please post more work-related stuff, it's amazing!! (: are you able to live off illustration? i'm a visual artist from central Europe as well, but i feel in my country it's impossible to support ones life with it because there's no one employing artists permanently and freelance work is paid horrendously :(

I will :D

Well.

Only very small percentage of my wages came from actual book illustrations :(

I studied animation and after school I was teachig+freelancing in all different media... Like. Animation, storyboarding, character desings, advertisement, comics, book illustrations, internet commissions... And with this all I managed to get each year somehow above my country's minimum wage :D

Having animation in portfolio helps me much, since that area is more "industry like" or "serious job like" in Czechia. (Because of our history we got strangely large animation base here :D )

For illustration...well. Czech is not big language so books are published in small numbers and it's almost imposiblle to get proper payment in that field (depends on style/how quick is your work pace )

Compared to Germany it is like one illustrated book there is payed as...six illustrated books in Czechia (my friend works for Germans :D ...but competition there is really huge)

Also. I have Icelandic friend who is illustrator and Icelandic language have even less speakers than Czech ....and trying to be illustrator there is even more impossible =_=

The last day, I had the strangest realization. I post to my Tumblr things that I consider "free time drawings" or "drawing for fun". So I´ve posted only a few things about my comics or my animation jobs. Means "real life work". But I have so much extra from all my projects and...well. If my dear followers don't mind, I can post it :D So here is study material for my adaptation of the theatre play RUR, deeply inspired by Zlín industrial area and Zlín museum :)

I drew a comic adaptation of the RUR theatre play three years ago.... This year was published a new edition (in Czech), so here is a little thing to celebrate it ♥ (also...maybe there will be an English version next year *_*)

last day burned down inspiration for this piece, one of the biggest buildings of Zlín's Svit industrial area. Zatraceněě....I drew 250pages inspired by that place,I feel such a loss ×_×

One more mermaid, washing her painful legs (Is it in the original version that each step on the ground was cutting pain for her? Well, it was in the version I’ve read as a child )
