Let me tell you, watching LOTR after seeing season one of TROP hits different. Like I never used to be emotional over Elrond before. The ruins they pass! Amon Sul, the places they pass after leaving Rivendell, Amon Hen statues? (I’ll throw the Agornath in, even though I wouldn’t really call it a ruin). Don’t even get me started on the emotions I felt seeing Moria. I’ve only had time to rewatch FOTR, but I cried in places I never used to cry before. My experience with this beloved movie has only been enriched by watching The Rings of Power.

For years I’ve told people that I keep coming back to Tolkien because each time you go exploring in Middle-earth, you find something new, and this show has only expanded the world and the places you can travel to. I absolutely adore this show and all the details it’s adding to my most beloved fictional world.
