Just your Average Multi-Fandom Side-Blog! Multi-Shipper with debatably weird tastes.

The Intro Post Ever

Welp. Since I've written fanfic for Ben 10 now, I've decided to make this little side-blog to post and reblog about Ben 10 stuff (and anything else I like. Keep things nice and clean from my other blog for a different cartoon I'm obsessed with.

Feel free to call me Cell over here. I'm about 23 years old and use any pronouns, and I'm in a polyamorous relationship with a few members of a system. That's all you really need to know about my personal life right off the bat. Everything else about me you will probably learn about through my posts.

My current fandoms are: Kingdom Hearts, Ben 10, and Digimon Adventure and 02. Do expect posts and reblogs of such content on this blog.

My AO3 Pseud is Celestialite. Feel free to peruse my "creative wares"! You can send asks about my AUs (Bezelverse and Replicated Hearts), chat with me through reblog chains, or just DM me stuff! I don't bite! I like meeting new people! ^0^ Just don’t be a meanie.

Oh, also you can make fanart for any of my AUs. I don’t mind at alll! I actually consider it a very high form of a compliment! Definitely tag me in any of your posts about my stuff so I can reblog and comment!

Just found out Ken from Digimon 02's English Voice actor also voices almost the whole fucking Veemon line. Just''' the whole fucking Veemon line of evolutions. All of them (Except Chibomon).

And now I'm picturing Veemon purposefully lowering and softening his tone to sound more like Ken to try to get Daisuke to not do whatever stupid shit Daisuke tries to do in a situation where Ken is not present. This usually works. All it takes is a "Daisuke, I don't think that's a good idea (Ken Ichijouji voice)." from Veemon and suddenly Daisuke obtains a brain cell. He doesn't get a handful of them, but he at least gets one.

So Digimon 02: Hurricane Touchdown was the Movie Ever

Sometimes I think about Digimon 02: Hurricane Touchdown. Like, the moment I watched it with my Roommate maybe a year ago. I think about it the same way one would think about something they see out of the corner of their eye that could have been a raccoon or a cat, but you're not really sure if it was one or the other or something else entirely. Just: "Yeah I have no idea what was going on there."

And besides at the time feeling like the whole movie was a fever dream I couldn't really grasp and still feeling like so now (thanks in large part to the very disorienting music), I just remember my suspension of disbelief being disintegrated, as an American, by preteen Wallace traveling from New York to Colorado, without adult supervision, with zero mentioning of him hiding from the police while he was doing this (as far as I remember).

I very much think that the people working on that movie had...not the best grasp on how the USA actually WORKS. When that movie was made.

And I can go off about exactly why, and I will. But under the cut so this doesn't take too much space in anyone's feed.

Burden

Nothing quite like accidentally being abusive to a Replica of your Somebody because cult propaganda taught you that it's ok to be abusive to the Replica. And then that Replica validates the abuse you just threw at them because they've been brainwashed into accepting abuse as a form of love.

...Yeah so Roxas and Nulla's relationship is really fucked up for a bit. I made this to sort of visualize the lower end of the downward spiral that is their friendship/familial relationship. It's hell in The World That Never Was and everybody gets to fail Nulla a little, or a lot. Roxas fails Nulla a lot.

Not sure why I keep making RH MMD stuff. I guess it's just easier to make things I've thought about with 3D models than it is drawing.

Anyways I am so (not) sorry to anyone who sees this and experiences P A I N. Replicated Hearts is my trauma-coping/processing AU and I gotta make the blorbos suffer in similar ways that I have.

@celestialite10 So I learned about a new au today…

Motivated me to make some art :) loved the concept and was weirdly fascinated by Nulla’s voice effects!

zscr,fdtugxfjyhtrklyo8tifg8ykiunjyltgiubfrclxt.lfjbykuilmkhyutm y gftldivkmlkbgf AAAAAAAAAAA I love iiiiiit!! Thank you so much for your fanart omg this seriously made my daay!

Nulla's standards are lower than the Mariana Trench. Apparently... (puts on glasses and reads list) "not treating him like an object" is the pinnacle of kindness.

...Ok jokes aside, I finally made a Beta version of Nulla's ORG coat model for MMD. Decided to make this thing with Xikur (Replica Riku) and Nulla. The robits.

OMG THE MODELS ARE PERFEEEEEEEEEEEECT AHHHHHHHHHHH

Nulla isn't allowed to swear among Organization XIII. He must use proper and precise language at all times, unless he is directly quoting someone else. Saïx beats the shit out of him for stuttering too much sometimes so he is noooot risking an F-bomb.

When Nulla and Xikur escape though, Nulla picks up some of Xikur's swearing, which leads to some shenanigans and overall silliness. He doesn't directly insult people though. That would be mean and Nulla doesn't want to be mean! :((( He wants to make others happy! :(((

it's time, now gimme your non-physical/invisible disability headcanons for KH characters. I've already mentioned Naminé being autistic but I would like to bring to the table: everyone has PTSD

Ok uuuuh lemme think here. I don't have a lot of exclusively non/physical disabilities for KH characters so I'll treat this post more as a general dump of any and all non-typical qualities I give some of the KH characters.

Also gonna put all of my headcanons below a cut because this post will probably be a bit long. Also going to mention Replicated Hearts a couple times as it's my main AU I'm currently writing for and all of my headcanons tend to fit for that universe.

something I've been thinking about for a while now is how the paopu fruit was introduced to us in KH1 as a symbol of romantic love, but as the series went on, it slowly became clear that it can actually also be a symbol of love in general.

in KH1 and CoM, the legend surrounding the paopu fruit is explicitly romantic. Selphie tells us this directly, and Riku implies it when he gives the fruit to Sora. it's a symbol of a deep connection that holds no matter how far apart the hearts that share it are.

as for how this symbolism is applied to the relationships in the game... Sora is implied to have (supposedly) romantic feelings for Kairi when he draws himself giving her a paopu fruit in the secret place. and as I've already mentioned, Riku gave Sora a fruit and followed it up with a confirmation of what the legend implies about those who share it. the way he phrases it even makes it sound like he's trying to see if Sora would share one with him. and of course, Kairi gives Sora her good luck charm, which is clearly meant to look like a paopu fruit and represents the same thing as the fruit itself. so there's a bunch of romantic implications all around in KH1.

then in CoM, Kairi's good luck charm is transformed into Naminé's version of it, which looks even more like a paopu fruit than the original charm. the whole game heavily implies that whoever Naminé replaced is someone Sora had romantic feelings for. we are initially supposed to assume this person is Kairi, but with the context of the Japanese version, it becomes clear that it's not her. it's "aitsu". not super relevant, but it is an interesting continuation of the love triangle implications in the first game.

then there's Birth by Sleep. this is where the series takes all the romantic implications and turns it on its head.

the wayfinder charms are a representation of an unbreakable connection shared between Aqua, Terra, and Ven. except here, it's clear that the implications are platonic rather than romantic. and the thing is, the wayfinders look exactly like Kairi's good luck charm. Aqua even outright says that the wayfinders are a Destiny Islands thing, they're supposed to be made with thalassa shells instead of glass, and they are explicitly shaped like paopu fruits. y'know, the same fruits that represent deep connection.

here's where it gets interesting to me. Kairi's charm is obviously a wayfinder, a proper one made with thalassa shells and in the image of the paopu fruit. and we are told that the wayfinders are platonic, and giving them to a friend is a way to connect your hearts no matter what comes your way. I think this makes the intention behind Kairi's wayfinder platonic rather than romantic. not to say that she didn't potentially have romantic feelings for Sora, just that she was telling the truth back on the Islands when she said the wayfinder charm was meant to keep all three of them together (rather than just Sora and Kairi). sure, she only made one, and she gave it to Sora, but that doesn't change the fact that the paopu fruit shape in this case represents platonic connection between Kairi and her best friends.

so what do I think all of this means? well, let's look at where the paopu fruit appears after CoM. the first notable appearance is as Kairi's keychain for Destiny's Embrace. then it shows up again as the keychain for the combined Keyblade. I'd like to point out that it's only the keychain for the combined version; when separated, each half of the combined Keyblade has a heart shaped keychain instead.

here's my theory. when it comes to representations of paopu fruits like the wayfinders, I think they generally only represent platonic bonds. when it comes to the actual paopu fruit, the number becomes more important. a single paopu fruit shared between two people seems to have romantic implications, while exchanging paopu fruits with one another is platonic. the only instance we have of two people actually sharing the fruit is in KH3, when Sora and Kairi exchange paopu fruits. that instance is also confirmed to be platonic in ReMind. but there's mentions of it before then that I already mentioned, and they all seem to point to the same conclusions.

TL;DR: one paopu fruit is romantic, multiple is platonic. I think it's still possible that things like Sora drawing the fruit and Kairi giving him her wayfinder are intended to be read as romantic, given that Riku only gave Sora one when he was teasing him about sharing it with someone (& also what Selphie said about the fruit). but things change, and the series has proven that Sora and Kairi's feelings for one another are platonic now. meanwhile, Sora and Riku have a combined Keyblade with the paopu fruit for a keychain, sooooo... yeah.
