𓇼 ⋆。˚ 𓆝⋆。˚ 𓇼 This whole account mostly exists for me to get incredibly self-indulgent about The Lost Boys, as a little treat 𓇼 ⋆。˚ 𓆝⋆。˚ 𓇼

I'd love to join your lost boys shipping wheel, if you don't mind pls!

I don't really have any scenarios in mind, Seth is a silly little dude who loves messing around on the boardwalk. I have a long post of information for the movie with him, but I'd also be thrilled to see you spin the wheel with the musical- dealer's choice!

Seth and Mike!!

Seth is really really good at saying good things menacingly.

Thank you so much for drawing my boy!! This is so funny!! I feel so sorry for musical Michael, poor guy is having the horror edition of 'We saw you from across the venue and really liked your vibe' experience of all time. Seth is banned from being an on-stage part of the band bc there's only room for 1 set of terrifying blue eyes up there lol Unblinking stare and many unsettling things to say (can't flirt to save his un-life)

Tlb oc doodles part two !! :D (more coming soon :>)

Ocs and who they belong to !! (In order of doodles)

Seth - @carla-coast-creature Mateo is trying to do his damn job of face painting but Seth and Jackie won’t hold still, they keep yapping about vampire stuff >:/

Val - @fangedfanatic Mateo uses her pictures to show off his face painting work !! :D

Rose Riley - @canadianhottmess Rose and Kathy having a day out together, I think they’d get along well :> (Kathy needs more positive female role models in her life too lmao)

Denise Frog and Benjamin Lythmen - @blog-n-your-walls Put them both with Musical!James and Movie!James. Denise and James would have a close sibling like relationship in my brain from Denise hiring James to basically help her raise the Frog brothers n shit, so Denise is the one he trusts most to help with dying his hair. Meanwhile Benji is banned from the record store for shoplifting lmao (and just cuz James is fed up with her ass)

Ty all for letting my draw your ocs !!

Awww they’re so cute!! Thank you so much for having Seth hang out with Jackie and Mateo, they’re both so cool!!

I have returned to once again ask for people to send me their lost boys ocs but this time with the intention of drawing them with my own tlb ocs !! I need to give them all some friends <3

All you need to do is like and reblog this with a ref image of some sort (art of their design, face claim + outfit inspo, etc) and some basic information about their role on the boardwalk and their personality and I’ll doodle them with one of mine!! (Also feel free to drop multiple of your ocs and/or drop a follow if you so choose :>)

Feel free to also request a specific oc of mine if there’s one you’d think they’d get along with best! Info about my ocs below cut

If you don't mind I'd love to throw my little guy at you! This is Seth, I've only currently designed a movie version of him, he doesn't necessarily have a 'role' on the boardwalk other than being a bit of a troublemaker, following the boys around. Pretty gentle despite his mischievous streak (and appetite for human blood), and overall quite cheery. I think he would get along with most of ur characters tbh. He particularly loves hanging around the arcade, or I could picture him getting his face painted! Plus he's really into vampire lore, he loves figuring out what's real and what's fake for creatures like him.

It's busy on the boardwalk tonight. It always is during the summertime. The streets are filled with vendors and food trucks that hide the smell of cigarettes and something more sinsiter in the air. The beach is busy with bodies as a local band tries to 'make it big' playing some cover of Warrant and Dokken.

Chrysta is one of the many among the beach tonight, hidden away just beneath the wooden docks as people prance overhead, creating shadows through the wooden boards and over the messy pages in her sketchbook.

She hums to an off beat rhythm of the song the band had started to play, tapping her pencil against her lips as she keeps her eyes glued to the pages of the book in her lap.

There's a few random scenery pieces of the sea, some scribbles lines and swirls from when she was too busy staring off into space. And if someone looked interesting enough, she tried her attempts at quickly sketching out a little portrait before they had left or disappeared into the crowd again.

Busy nights on the boardwalk are always the best. They make the lines for rides too long, sure, and clog up the arcade like crazy, but they’re never boring. Hundreds of people to watch, conversations to listen in on, events to drop into being run for the tourist rush.

Hundreds of heartbeats, all pounding in his ears.

They may be the best, but they were also tiring.

Especially when he’s not hunting– it’s too early for that, anyways.

After too long wandering the boardwalk, and too long spent waiting for the same thrill rides he’d ridden hundreds of times, the thrum of human life turns from a warm blanket settled over him to smothering and inescapable. Too many smells, sounds, lights. Every step he takes seems to scrape his bones like a boardwalk attraction overdue on maintenance, sea air rusting its joints.

There’s only one place worth going if he wants to decompress.

Seth wanders down to the docks, taking a deep breath full of familiar salt. The gentle roll of the water helps to unwind muscles that he didn’t even realise were tensed.

Swinging himself over the side, he hung upside down, legs and hands hooking him to the wood in a humanly possible manner. Not quite how he sleeps, just enough to get his head closer to the water.

Not just the water catches his eye, though. He tilts his head towards the quiet tapping of a pen, noticing a girl with a sketchbook. Her drawings of the sea are good– really good.

Shit, spying’s really rude. He’d probably bite someone if he caught them looking at his drawings. But he didn’t mean to… Surely that counts for something, right?

He hauls himself up, and, despite his musings on his own potential reaction if he was in her shoes, meanders down to where she is settled. He raises his hand a bit, in a hesitant greeting, with a lopsided smile as he approaches.

Heya… Um… D’ya mind if I ask what you’re drawin’?

Her pencil stops dead in the middle of some lazy flower doodle, hand curling around the spine of her sketchbook when she suddenly hears a voice she's never heard before.

Her eyes lift, but the rest of her head stays bowed, looking up at this stranger through her lashes. With long golden curls casting down his shoulders and eyes that looked like the sea water when caught in golden hour, and pale skin with freckles across his complexion like patterns in sand.

His fashion sense would probably send Chrysta's grandmother into a frenzy. But she thought that way about how 'kids dress these days', and Chrysta herself would say he was quite fashionable.

He was... Pretty.

That was scary.

"Stuff," Chrysta replies, barely above a whisper as she pulls her sketchbook up to her chest. "I like drawing the scenery... When there's good scenery to draw." She says the last thing a little quieter as she finally lifts her head to look up at the stranger who had approached her.

Seth’s smile grows a bit as she looks at him. It’s a nice voice. Sure, he’s probably relying on vampiric hearing to catch it– which might be cheating, if anyone’s counting– but it’s soothing against the din of the boardwalk, the band, and their fans. Something worth focusing on.

Woah… Cool! I’ve never managed to get any good at doin’ scenery, just turns out lookin’ flat every time.

He settles next to her and lifts his arm, showing some of his patches as he says, “I mostly draw sea creatures, don’t need to worry ‘bout pickin’ a focal point that way. And people, I guess, but the critters ain’t gonna complain ‘bout their likenesses.”

Laughing softly, he gets a chance to have a proper look at the artist. Sitting down, getting a chance to lay his legs out a bit, is heaven. It’s amazing what a little bit of relief can do for your observational abilities.

She’s got a really interesting style, necklaces layered with an expert’s touch and a flowing maxi skirt. Unique hair, too, with that little braid winding its way out of short cropped fluff, the most gorgeous rich brown. Probably took a fair bit of experimenting to find that look. But the thing that sticks with him the most is those doe eyes. That deep olive shade… God, he’d almost forgotten how gum leaves looked at sunset. It takes palpable effort not to stare.

Just tell me to shoo if I’m buggin’ you, by the way. Does Santa Carla’s scenery strike your fancy much?

That seems to catch her eye.

Chrysta turns her head to look at this blonde stranger when he sits just beside her on the sand- an action that makes her stomach twist up and her hands hug her book just a little tighter.

Her head tilts-- with curiosity, and to angle her head to better see the patch work all across the jackets aged leather. She blinks up at his arm, lips pursing out slightly in a silent 'Ooo.'

The sewing work is quite nice, and the artistry is aspiring on its own, but the way he talks to her so lightly as if they'd met before makes Chrysta's cowardice falter just a little.

When he offers up leaving, Chrysta's response is immediate, "No." She says it quick, sudden. Desperate. She slaps herself mentally and screams like a fool, but on the outside she digs her heels into the sand and hugs at the loose fabric of her skirt.

She swallows. "I like it a little." She finally answers his question, twisting the fabric of her maxi skirt around her finger. "Santa Carla is pretty and all, but it's the people I enjoy most. Where I'm from there isn't a lot of individuality."

She spares a glance over at him, looking him over once or twice as if mustering up courage. "I-I like drawing animals too. Im not very good at it though. You seem to have a better hand at it than I do."

Just as sudden as her ‘no’ was the heat sparking in Seth’s cheeks. He was already feeling strangely shy having her gaze roam his patches. Objectively stupid, literally everyone could see them… Maybe it’s just knowing she’s an artist?

He wasn’t used to hearing sentiments like that, and never thought he would be-- it made his chest feel strangely light, like he was floating in the water. Warm. Thinking about how embarrassing it was to start blushing only made it stick around longer. Idiot. Gawky idiot.

He really wasn’t sure where to place his eyes. Not on her face, that’s for sure, even though it was easy to admire the beauty spots that gave it character. Definitely not her eyes, even though her blue eyeshadow-- a choice he couldn’t help but appreciate-- contrasted stunningly with them.

No, better to take a fixed interest in the sand between them. Wow, look at those grains. Fascinating stuff. Damn, he really thought he’d learned to not be so awkward. At least he didn’t fix his gaze down too long. Hopefully.

When his eyes meet her again, drawn by her speaking up, they’re more crinkled than before. Softened. Smiling even more so. He can’t be the only one feeling a bit shy, with the way she’s holding that sketchbook.

Yeah! The place is nice, boardwalk lights n’ the water ‘n all, but the people watching’s what’s really fascinatin’. Lotta really cool styles… I don’t reckon I ever would’a figured out how I liked dressin’ if I hadn’t’a moved here.

He tilts his head. She’s certainly got a fashion sense unique enough for Santa Carla.

Not quite local either? ‘S not like there was no individuality back in Vic, but, y’know… Nothin’ on the level of here though. Maybe ‘cause there’s so much tourism? People feelin’ freer, either bein’ on holiday or knowin’ half the people they see ain’t gonna be there to judge ‘em tomorrow?

Pretty positive framing, coming from one of the reasons so many people aren’t there come morning. He shrugs, shaking his head bashfully at her last comment.

I just spend a lotta time starin’ slackjawed at ‘em, that’s all. I’m sure your animals look real cool. What sorts of ‘em do you like drawing?

Hi there! I’m not sure if you answered this before, but how did Seth end up meeting the boys?

Avatar

Omg thank you so much for asking!! Sorry for taking a while to get my thoughts down! Also sorry it’s so long, I have never been concise in my life.

Seth met the boys when he was on a family vacation, in ~1980. Getting more specific, there's two different stories for the Movie plot and the Musical plot.

Hey @carla-coast-creature I have a question for you. If your oc Seth was in the musical version of the lost boys would he be a part of the band or would he be a side character?

Avatar

Part of the band! Idk exactly what his role would be outside of backing vocals— The Lost Boys are a very well-balanced group, but like... I Wanna Join Anyways!! They're too cool to resist, idk how Michael managed it lol I've been working on drawing him an outfit for it too!! I absolutely LOVE what I've seen of the musical, I really hope it comes down to Australia because it is so amazing omg (I adore the musical Frog brothers, they will always be famous to me) Seth would still adore Star (and his brothers!) and be quite close to her, but I don't see him getting much focus on his own, especially since David is a lot more attentive to Star in the musical. Much like the other boys, I guess; they absolutely shine on stage, but the story is ultimately about Michael, Star, and David, so they don't get much time on their own until their deaths :( Thanks for asking!!
