I don't know how it happened so quickly but I reached 700 followers on here 😭 I feel like I make a post like this every month but genuinely thank you all so much for the nice comments and the support for the things that I make and for my characters and ship. I do read everything !! But I'm still relearning social media because it's been a while since I've interacted with people on it, and it's been almost 10 years since I've used tumblr! I'm still learning the etiquette with comments in tags (I don't know if it's expected to respond or even how! haha) but MANNN some things I read were so sweet it fr made me tear up HAHA

Unfortunately crunching on last minute art fight + the animation + going to work still has completely tired me out to the point that I still haven't played the new Mistria update yet, but I'm going to take this weekend to recuperate and re-emerge as a socially-capable creature again. Since I'm not going to play any of the romance content (I must stay loyal to Wheedle HAHA) I've been thinking more about Scam Likely as a duo interacting with other characters and OCs at their weddings! In my own canon they are morally ambiguous and willfully take advantage of gullible wallets, but in non-canon interactions with other's characters/ships I would like for them to be more like little court jesters or clowns. Imagine them as the Team Rocket of your weddings. 😌

Scam Likely wedding musings

Even though he's not romanceable in-game, I wanted to still have fun with my wedding headcanons for Fiore + Wheedle! In their dynamic, they don't acknowledge that they're together. They both just assume that they are and behave like they're in a relationship as a result. Since there was no true confession between them, I think it's funny to have them marry without the whole proposal process. They both would independently decide that it's time, exchange their rings, and continue on. But if they were to have an actual wedding.....

Wheedle would like something extravagant and superfluous, just to 'prove' that he's 'better' than small town life. Grand spectacles, expensive food, strict dress code.  He would want the town to remember their wedding for years to come. Fiore wouldn't care too much about what the wedding is like necessarily, but she would be against anything that's too crass (Wheedle would attempt the cake in the face bit just to mess with her, but she would grab and hold his arm to stop him). It wouldn't be a FANCY wedding (I see Wheedle as someone who would be very against prim and proper behavior.... he'd probably smoke openly and without courtesy during the wedding too), but it would be an extravagant one.

It would all be for benefits of Fiore and Wheedle's business partnership, mind you [wink].

For the music at the wedding, since I headcanon Mistria's time period to be late 1800s - very early 1900s, I imagine it would be jazzy swing music. But with a little bit of dirt/edge to it! I imagine Pepper Steak from the OFF soundtrack (OFF fans in 2026 wya):

I have to work today so I'll miss the 1.0 release by a few hours (I hope everyone has a good time with it!), but a funny anecdote from work yesterday:

I was sleep deprived because I stayed up all night to work on the animation. I actively fell asleep at my desk several times (thankfully no one noticed) so I went to the bathroom to attempt to take a quick 5 min power nap. One of the last thoughts I had before falling asleep was "Hmmmm WWWD (What Would Wheedle Do)? Yes, I think he WOULD nap in the bathroom on payroll." Then I turned my 5 min alarm off in my sleep and accidentally slept for another 20 minutes. 💀

July of last year was when I created Fiore and paired her with Wheedle, but I was too busy with Art Fight to make anything last month! Thankfully, the release of 1.0 is a great time to celebrate. This is a redraw of this drawing! I wanted to see how far I've come with art since then.
