There are so few candidates available for that old‑trio role‑swap concept, it’s basically only those four characters to work with.

I also saw a theory about the original trio: Dess, Asriel and the cat shopkeeper.

Maybe the Pines twins plus someone else form the new main trio. Pacifica as Noelle and Gideon as Berdly is such a spontaneous but interesting idea
