Blue in space

@blueishspace

I like both blue and space what can I say? He/Him.

Going to put this as my pinned. Hi everyone reading the names Space. He/Him is preferred, I do identify as a man, but am also fine with They/Them if you want to. I really don't mind it enough to tell you not to use it. I i am mostly going to post Hermitcraft related stuff but I have been into a lot of stuff so I make references sometimes. Going to put links to posts I think are important I guess.

Persona/OC thing:

My first and only two cents about recent drama.

It's not homophobic to call out problematic behaviour by a gay creator, members of minorities are not saved from making mistakes. Though It's interesting that similar behaviour in straight creators is more often ignored.

and It's no good to keep dragging a creator for something they did out of ignorance especially at a difficult time of their life and which they have apologized for and are working and paying to fix. Though until the new design is shared we shouldn't expect everything wrong to be resolved, It's naive when It's such a rush to get it done soon.

We can do better. You can like someone and aknowledge when they fuck up. You can dislike someone and aknowledge when they are genuinely trying to fix their mistake. You can be neutral on a guy, I don't care really.

But we can do better. We have to do better. So do better. We're not in 2020 anymore, act like it.

(Shatter the Diamond section 4 p98)

Scar: Well! Enough about that! Because what happens next is the climax!

Jimmy: Aren't we skip-

Scar: Nope! It's the finale! It's Luke and Darth Vader fighting on the Death Star.

Jimmy: You aren't going to explain how they got there?

Scar: We are almost there Jimmy. I will get to the end.

Jimmy: Ok, ok I get it.

Scar: Great! So they are fighting and Darth Vader is trying to get him to join the dark side and finds out Luke and Leia are siblings...but Luke doesn't want to so the Emperor throws lightning at him.

Spinel: Like Yellow Diamond?

Scar: Uh... yes?

Spinel: But you said organic life doesn't poof...

Jimmy: Yes but lightning uh hurts a lot... Tango and Scott can both confirm.

Scar: Yeah and Darth Vader doesn't want Luke to die so he grabs the emperor and phew! Throws him down a hole.

Spinel: So they win?

Scar: Well Darth Vader dies but everyone else wins!

Spinel: YES!!! Yes!!

Scar: And that's Star Wars! The important stuff at least... of the original trilogy!

Prev Next First

Ok so my current plan for Pantheon SMP is

Apo, and Cleo to be watched definitely first on release day. Pearl too if she decides to post weekly instead of a movie.

Martyn, Scott, Drift and Shelby to be kept as povs to watch during the week so I don't rush povs on the first day and have nothing to watch for the other days.

Pearl's movie is she makes one.

Everyone else to watch in an eventual post-smp rewatch of the whole series for completeness and stuff.

About Pantheon!Apo from her stream:

She's not an arpy like I thought. She was a human that was turned into the shape of an oneiroi by Morpheus. Not an actual oneiroi as those are somewhere between minor gods and spirits and she's still kinda mortal. But transformed into an oneiroi like form.

Also Nom appeared in chat and Apo called him Nom champion of Aphrodite which might mean nothing but I like to think somewhere in the Pantheon universe is a champion of Aphrodite Nom running around doing his own thing.

Oh! Oh! At one point Legundo joined in and they discussed a possible alternate cast in the same universe and Nom and Mae being both campions of Aphrodite being forced to fight eachother but ending up just going around and being hot together...

So that I guess is what he's doing.

Also they encouraged the fandom to assign all other mcyters gods until there are no more greek gods left.

May I suggest Scar as champion of Gaia

That makes sense. Because his fandom given celestial symbol for the life series is earth, right? I was thinking a deity who uses a bow and arrow because hotguy, so I was thinking Eros. Since Apollo and Artemis are taken. He's also literally the personification of physical desire, and ya know...hotguy lmao.

Oh yeah! That works too! Eros was my second option but I was actually keeping it for someone else...I was actually thinking Scar Gaia because he's an extremely talented terraformer and he likes trees and plants and animals and stuff. Plus he creates chest monsters and Gaia is kinda famous for making monsters.

I hadn't considered that, but that makes a lot more sense. A lot of his work with terraforming the ravine this hermitcraft season is very earth deity coded. Who were you keeping Eros for?

I would also like to suggest Helios for Grian because he's known for witnessing everything under the sun (watcher lore) and grian means sun in Irish (I think). He's also apparently the god of sight, again, watcher lore.

I was actually thinking Eros for a few people... Keralis mostly. He's above average levels of flirty, has a soothing voice, he calls people princess a lot.. idk just the vibe. He just feels like a love god champion. Sometimes vibes are strong ok?

And Helios Grian makes a lot of sense, the only reason Persephone was rescued was because Helios could see everything and saw the abduction. (Also yes, Grian means sun in irish and is also a variation of Gréine, name of a minor celtic sun goddess possibly related to the main celtic sun goddess Aine or another name for her)

I would actually suggest Katherine Elizabeth and Jojo as champions of Persephone...but different. Katherine as champion of Kore (Persephone's more flowery nature spring aspect) and Jojo as champion of Dread Persephone (Persephone's more underworld scary aspect that appears in the Odyssey)

I actually didn't know Persephone had different versions, that's really cool. I don't know much about Katherine's lore, but she had a natury thing in empires, right? And jojo as spooky Persephone makes sense with lifesteal and stuff.

And I agree with keralis as champion of Eros. His roman counterpart is Cupid, and I think Keralis is very Cupid coded.

I'd like Xisuma as Atlas because he's like, the hermitcraft admin and Atlas is known for holding up the sky. I don't think he makes sense with any lore, but it's a fun comparison lmao.

If there's a god of perseverance or endurance, I think that would be Jimmy Solidarity because he spent four life series dying first, and he finally beat it in Secret Life.

What about Hormes for Jimmy?

From Theoi: "Hormes was the personified spirit of effort, impulse and eagerness. In the context of war, hormê was a violent forward movement, an assault or attack. Hormes was worshipped at Athens as the virtue of industrious effort. His opposite number was Aergia (Sloth)."

Oooh, yes, I really like that.

I'm torn for Joel, I'm thinking Ares because of how he is in the life series, but because of what he's doing in Hermitcraft, I was thinking Iris. With the rainbow and colours and stuff.

For Joel I would actually go with Lyssa goddess of frenzied rage and Iris both. Idk, It's two goddesses yes but they are both very minor ones. Which is why I went Lyssa not Ares, I can justify two gods easier id they are both minor ones.

Also Bdubs is the champion of Hypnos, the god of sleep, son of Nyx and father of Morpheus. We can have a nice chain of kinda family in law between Apo, Bdubs and Pearl then.

Lyssa makes more sense yes, since part of Joel's characterisation in the life series is less 'warrior' and more 'frenzied attacker' lmao. And I totally get your logic with using two minor gods. Since they have less power so they'd share a champion.

I love the little family chain with bdubs, apo and pearl. That's really cool.

So for False, I'm thinking Poseiden because he's also the god of horses, and she's doing a horse/kelpie thing this season.

I see it! Poseidon False! Maybe we could have Gem as champion of Pontus (Primordial of the waters depths) and XB as the champion of Okeanus (Titan of the ocean) or something.

Also thinking back at it there being two Champions of Aphrodite kinda makes sense since at one point she was split in two.

I like XB as Okeanus. Does gem have ocean lore I wasn't aware of? If she is champion of Pontus, though, she'll have some familial relations to Scar because apparently Pontus is Gaia's child. So that's cool.

I feel like Ren would be Hecate, cause of his magic city. I wonder what Rens God was before he had to pull out of Pantheon.

Gem for me is really either Pontus (her sea base with the sea monster and all) or Eos (because of her celestial lore and the princess of Dawn stuff).

Ren as Hecate works for this season but I would argue that it should be Calliope. Muse of epic poetry (because he's dramatic and his character have a certain vibe of Ren was listening to epic trailer music while making them) and the muse in charge of giving kings eloquence which I feel is very Ren because of obvious reasons.

I like Eos for gem, if we're trying not to be too season specific. And I agree with Calliope, she fits so well.

Also, Nom asked Rusty who she would be, and they were thinking a god of art or creation or something. Nom suggested Hestia, but I'm not that sure.

Who do you think etho would be? Is there a god of mystery? Or ingenuity maybe?

Rusty could probably have one of the muses or maybe Tekhne: The minor goddess of arts, crafts and technical skill.

For Etho there's Achyls the goddess of mist and hidden things. The closest thing to ingenuity would be Metis goddess of cunning and mother of Athena but she was kinda...eaten by Zeus...

I just thought about maybe Boreas for Etho, personification of the North wind. Cause canada.

This reblog chain is getting so long lmao

Now I wonder who would be Notos, Zephyr and Eurus then...

Team Canada? Vintage beef and pauseunpause?

Maybe Zephyr Beef, Eurus Pause and maybe Pungence (Bdub's brother) could be Notos?

ok i’ve been curious about something. can you name a character who is, all three at once,

1. canonically female (no variation)

2. canonically the protagonist of her story (if it’s an ensemble cast you have to say you can legitimately see her as The main character)

3. your personal #1 favorite character in that story (ties are acceptable)

I mean. Double Life Pearl definitely is all three, as the winner of her series she has to count as the protagonist right? There's Maomao from Apothecary diaries. And I have read my fair share of villainess reincarnation stuff.

The symbology of mcyt 3

In Part 1 we looked into Eyes, The Void, The End and the symbology of the Sun, Moon and Stars...

In Part 2 we looked into Life, Death and the Afterlives. Into angels, and demons and gods pf Limbo.

Today we're starting our investigation on the Elemental symbolism and connections of mcyt.
