it's a crime. I've got all those skills on my resume, demonstrated experience across years of socmed and everything, and yet I'm forced to work when I could be clogging up tumblr whimsy blogging :(

your blorbos don't have to be romantic to love each other (#platonic love wins) but also they don't have to love each other to be romantic. ship those characters as a loveless marriage. make their feelings tragically one-sided with no hope of change. put them in a dead end relationship that they both know needs to end but neither are willing to admit it yet. more bad ships forever. its enrichment for me.

you ever love a fandom so purely and passionately only to watch it degrade into something so sickeningly toxic and twisted that you become an outlier to the community to protect yourself from the heartbreaking disillusionment? (but it's too late)

#many fandoms tragically have become unfun and unsafe#robbing me of community and escapism#can't play anymore bc everything is serious and polluted by discourse#it's no wonder people are leaving fandoms or focusing entirely on OCs instead#I miss the old times#rebloggable

sure you can fritter away your time alive hating a character, ship or person in a fandom OR you could pour it into enjoying a character, ship, or person you like in a fandom. no matter how hard you crusade, hating it won't make it go away. amplify what you WANT to see!

There’s been a recent adoption on tumblr of the German-originated concept of “hobbyless behavior” — petty, hate-filled time wasting, nosey nonsense, indicative that said person is without any sort of willingness or interest in anything fun or worthwhile. A far more scathing take than “get a hobby.”

I increasingly find myself thinking, “fapless behavior.” Literally masturbating would be a better, more enjoyable use of these people’s time than being a hater. They clearly need to jerk off more. That’s it. That’d fix them. They’d have something to DO with their time.
