The father coaxed, trying to lure the attention of the little guy in his mother's arms. He extended both arms, waiting to catch the small, squishy body that was just so incredibly huggable.
However, the only response was silence. It left the father feeling a bit anxious—wondering if this 'mommy's boy' didn't love him. But before his confidence could crumble entirely...
"Pa... Papa," a babbling voice chirped as **he** reached out **his** tiny hands toward his father.
"Oh!! That’s it, Xinxin! Come to Papa!" The father moved in to take him, only to freeze mid-motion.
The little body he was supposed to be cuddling merely gave his chest a few light pats—**peck, peck**—before turning back to snuggle into his mother’s soft embrace as before...
It was as if he were telling his father that he just didn't quite measure up...
