I’m going to hit you with something about the foster care comment from Wanda that is super depressing about our real justice system. Sometimes if a foster kid would otherwise go to a group home, and either the group home has no room or the kid was in jail already, they just put them in juvenile detention halls.
Anyway Wanda’s comment combined with some from Tommy a while ago lead me to wonder if Tommy’s parents gave up custody after his power manifestation and he ended up having to stay in juvie even after his sentence was up or, worst case scenario, even if he was found not guilty.
Which would explain why we never saw him wanted by the cops after. He’s not technically a convict during young avengers, just a runaway.
