Would you have any opinion about someone responding to a post you make? I read the text under Fem!Vox post and had thoughts about some of it, but sort of second-guessed if any of it was worth mentioning. I've just encountered a lot of people and spaces where people don't really like talking about anything unless it's... I don't know... purely light-hearted, for lack of possibly a better word or phrase. Kind of second-guessing if even this question "crosses a line," to be honest.

i think it's very kind that you're considerate of my boundaries! 💖 you're more than welcome to add your two cents on the things i yap about! in fact, a lot of ppl already do that w/ the reblogs (...which i always read btw i see u guys LOL)

i've alrdy written a few yapping posts on this blog, i believe? majority of them were written in the heat of the moment which explains why they look that way GAHAHAHAHA

if i'm ever not comfortable with a comment/chain of comments, you can trust that i can safely disengage from the conversation !! ^^

thank you, i really appreciate it!! 🥹 and experimenting with diff. artstyles is always very fun! my art process mostly consists of blocking out colors, sculpting & zoning out a lot experimenting w/ wtv looks good to my eyes! aka painterly

this is my workflow (in a nutshell) as of 07/26/2026

i have some timelapse(s) littered around my blog so you can check that, too! i put them up for ppl who asked me before

as for the color use… a lot of it is vibes tbh cuz i like picking colors that make me go oOOO LALA (i enjoy spamming vibrant colors + keeping my contrasts & values in check)

My go-to advice when it comes to drawing is NEVER. EVER. sleep on references! And also, stare at more art that you find pretty/want to draw, aka build your visual libraryyy (Whether that is cartoons/anime, comics/manga, paintings, photography, etc.)

I always had a more "work smart, not hard" approach towards art; My BRAIN hurts more than my HAND does. You can practice drawing the same hand as much as you want, but if you don't find a proper reference on how the joints connect, how muscles flex, or how shadows warp around objects, then you are just expending energy on something that will take you much longer to learn!

It's also important for me to add that the more you look at good references, the more you won't need them when you draw!

References aren't cheating, references are research. You cannot draw what you cannot understand.

Lastly, If you draw something:

Ensure that you finish it!!!!!!!! (Even if you hate it halfway!)

Because it will take some time for your muscle memory to learn, and for your eyes/brain to perceive "quality" better! Finishing a piece forces you to practice the "un-fun" parts. Hell, you might even love doing the "un-fun" parts once you get used to them. e.g. I used to despise coloring my art and now it's my favorite part of any drawing.

I didnt learn how to draw those w/o consuming so much art#i also am STILL learning how to incorporate those styles in my hazbin art tbh#I dont typically agree with the practice everyday grindset UNLESS it has references involved#and not everyone is gifted a neurotypical attention span (includes me so i can understand)#bam yaps#artists on tumblr
