Making miniature windows for my castle tower dollhouse.
Gothic arch windows: the brickwork I did earlier, sculpted with paperclay; today I used some wooden lasercut windows, altered to the right size with some cardboard strips and plastic doll packaging for glass panes.
Inside and out.
This is the base, will be covered with clay and paint later!
Trying out later at night, after dark.
I love it! The design process was hard for these windows because I didn't want them to look as if they belonged in a medieval church. I wanted them to be full of details, but not to churchy.
Yesterday I finished the coffered ceiling, giving me a boost of motivation to finish the Great Hall. To do list: finish these arched windows; make three windows (on the right side of the room); finish the paintwork on the yellow ochre floor tiles and finish the roof on the far right.
