i think if herbie hancock had access to a tb-303 in his like late mwandishi era he could have really worked some magic with it. i mean already listening to rain dance im struck by how similar it is to some of the proto house & proto techno that came out like a decade ish later... particularly acid tracks by phuture... and admittedly for some other early 303 tracks the genre is different (rip it up by orange juice is the first and perhaps best example that comes to mind) but production-wise and audially the sound is super similar to what he was cooking up in sextant

at the end of the day you need to believe that you are more than the things you’ve suffered through because if you don’t you’ll start seeing yourself as someone fundamentally broken whose life is hopeless. you need to claw your way out of a rut by believing there is hope for you and that life is worth living, even when its hard to make sense of all the suffocating chaos around us. don’t let yourself forget there is still beauty out there and joy to be felt, even when you are in pain, even when you wish life could be fairer and gentler. because that’s when you realize that the little things you do to make yourself and others feel a bit better can make quite a difference after all

this is my first time in the pacific northwest. we drove through a forest so wet and foggy you couldn’t see the bends in the road ten yards ahead of you and it straight up felt like a horror game until we emerged into a sunny valley with a rainbow over it and then we went to a taco bell and in it there was a guy dressed like a hot dog and a guy dressed like hamburger. is it all like this
