Hello, I'm Sharif Al-Amoudi from Gaza. I'm married and have twins, Hussam and Ahmed, who are five months old. They were born after four attempts at artificial insemination. My wife and I came to Egypt in June for the IVF procedure, and she became pregnant, but we were stranded in Egypt after the war. I was employed in Gaza, and my wife was a mathematics teacher. Now we have no income after everything was destroyed. My twins were born in April, and one of them (Ahmed) has two holes in his heart and also suffers from optic nerve damage as a result of being in the neonatal intensive care unit.
He was given artificial oxygen and needs special care, surgery, and numerous treatments at great expense. He now needs special milk and medication. I also suffer from a slipped disc and cannot work hard in Egypt. I need surgery that costs 2000 euros. I live in a rented apartment that costs me 200 euros a month. You are our only hope. Please help me for the sake of my children. πππ

As a father, there is no greater pain than watching your children grow up in fear and hardship, knowing you cannot give them the safety and comfort they deserve.
After losing our home, my family and I have experienced repeated displacement within Gaza.We are now living in extremely difficult conditions and urgently need your help for my three children.

so i was just contacted by someone who lives in the kakuma refugee camp, they contacted me letting them know what the conditions are like for the LGBTQ+ people in the camp and the conditions are horrific for them. They experience police brutality, torture, persecution and other terrible things because they are queer or trans.
There are lesbians who have to sell their bodies basic needs such as food due to how terrible it is over there. While i may not know every detail of the situation i am still determined to raise awareness about the situation. I know i am not going to be heard by all butif at least one person reads then that is one person more who is aware.

Today, February 22 of 2026, the Mexican Army killed Nemesio Oseguera "el Mencho" leader of el Cartel Jalisco Nueva GeneraciΓ³n, one of the biggest cartels in Mexico.
This type of militarized kingpin operations, taking out the head of a cartel, have also happened in the past and always lead to the same results; the cartel is not destroyed and simply reorganizes, and in the meantime violence is unleashed on innocent local populations. Today there were already several blockades and fires caused by the cartel, and much more violence is anticipated in the following days.
2006 president Calderon's War on Drugs campaign against the cartels led to a rapid increase of militarization in Mexico, which has continued regardless of which political party is in power. These tactics have only increased violence on the civilian population, both by the cartels and the army.
It is also important to highlight the United States role in this story. Both by arming and helping the proliferation of the cartels, and by pressuring Mexico to take direct action against cartels through economic tariffs and threatening military intervention.
