Batman by Lee Weeks
Just a reminder: Superman (vol. 1) #354 (December, 1980), predicted that by the far-future year of 2020 we would be on our third Superman - Kalel Kent, grandson of the original Superman!
Superman 2020 was a back-up feature that alternated with other "what if?" imaginary tales as a way to drum up more sales. Superman lll made seven appearances (Superman #354, 355, 357, 361, 34, 368 and 372) over the course of a year-and-one-half, and was never seen again.
His adventures took place on Earth-2020, which was wiped out in the Crisis On Infinite Earths. Whether that Earth returned when the multiverse/omniverse was restored, only Mark Waid can say for sure.
The Second Coming
By William Butler Yeats, 1919 and inspired by the first World War and the influenza pandemic.
Turning and turning in the widening gyre The falcon cannot hear the falconer; Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world, The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere The ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity.
Surely some revelation is at hand; Surely the Second Coming is at hand. The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert A shape with lion body and the head of a man, A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun, Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds. The darkness drops again; but now I know That twenty centuries of stony sleep Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle, And what rough beast, its hour come round at last, Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?
There you go, the secret is The Joker is a member of The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn.
A little too thin to be Aleister Crowley, however.
DC Comics on sale in August, 1978
Heard during the pitch meeting for new comics at DC Comics in 1978, "Okay, we still have the rights to Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, but haven't used it since 1963, so let's do another one, only in the summer, and we called Rudolph's Summer Fun."
Editor, "Are you drunk?" Writer, "No." Editor, "Alright, let's go with it, but make it a two-dollar issue."
With characters: Bruce "Doc" Sellers (Doctor); Darcy Vale (Commander); Jake Hammersmith; Mindy Yano; Dr. Theodore "Mac" McGavin (Exobiologist,) ; Ozzie (ship's computer of the Sunrider II)
And in this issue, a character called Groote, about whom I can find nothing.
Comic's Journal devoted a cover and a long article about this new comic from DC.
It was canceled after issue # 7.

One of 2026’s best TV shows has just been canceled.
Quote, "However, Disney has now backtracked on its decision, with Variety reporting that the show’s writers have been released so they can pursue other projects." End quote.
That is the cutest, most corporate way of saying, You're fried," I have ever heard.
