I think the ao3 volunteers deserve a huge round of applause during this Wattpad migration, if the amount of false reports on fics is to be believed. The volunteers work their arses off as it is and now they have tons more to wade through because some people can't grasp don't like don't read.

ohhh my god its that one panel during the first elevator scene, right after theo decides to be the bait. where liam just rests his head on the elevator door almost as if to hear theos heartbeat. and we can subtly hear the sounds outside alluding to the fact that liam can hear him. and he's pressed up against the door for seconds trying to hear if theo's okay. like he's trying to make sure theos still alive. like. jesus. and you hear a bang and the quiet resolve and shock in liam's face as he leans forward to collapse against the elevator. i hate them so much.

WIP THURSDAY: Captain Yukimura 🥍🦊

Kira has never been more aware of her posture in her life. She tries to look away but there are only so many places she can stare at without meeting one of her teammates' unsure faces. Digging into her small pockets with her trembling hands, she tries to ignore the hushed gossip amongst the sleepy boys surrounding her. This is just another morning practice, she tries to tell herself. The… first morning practice with her as captain.

She swallows hard, trying to avoid looking at Quentin who just whispered to Amram, "I think she's gonna throw up."

Is she supposed to do something? Should she say something? Probably not. It would be weird, right? And what would she say, anyway? They all know she got the captain title because Coach went on a tirade about Scott's spotty attendance record. She's still waiting for Coach to tell her that, now that he slept on it, Scott is going to stay captain. Please, let him say she's not captain anymore!

She feels even worse when Scott offers a small thumbs-up. It's clear he doesn't fully mean it. He actually looks a bit sad. But it's true that it's the first time in months Kira has seen Scott attend a morning practice. Was that Coach's plan all along?

A strident whistle noise blasts the morning quiet to smithereens and everyone urgently covers their ears, turning towards the source of the sound.

"Yukimura! You're in charge of the warm-up! Make them bleed!!!!" Coach screams at the top of his lungs before he blows another ear-splitting whistle noise.

While Coach starts walking away from the group, the teens all take a moment to regain their hearing, waiting for the ring of the whistle to fade, but by the time they look back, Kira has fully turned into a statue. Her eyes wide with fear, it takes her 30 seconds to open her mouth and then another minute to come up with something to say.

"This is bad," Liam whispers to Scott, a pained wince on his face.

Scott was raised right, so he has the decency not to nod or say anything.
