oh my god you guys

rundown of last nights events:

- me and my friends show up in line around 3:45. not a single person in sight. we remain the only people waiting outside until doors open. about an hour after we arrive geoff is across the street, he waves to us and comes over to talk with us a little and he has rly low expectations bc apparently this show did not sell at all. he says its prob because they waited too long to announce it and we talk a little abt the movie screening before he goes in

- before the film screening i draw this:

and stick it over by the door. not long after i notice geoff taking pictures of it and showing it to the other band members 😭 i guess someone also loved it so much they secured it with some masking tape but i didnt see who

- the doc is so fucking sick btw geoff was not kidding about it and the editing

- the first band goes on and theyre fuhking sik theyre called xacto. their synth player fucking shreds. but anyway. geoff is lingering Directly behind us the entire set. i want you to keep in mind that at this point there are maybe 30-40 people in the entire venue. theres so much room and so many places he could have stood and he Chose to stand right behind us. bro

- before le shok goes on he tries to join in on our conversation 😭😭😭 since the crowd was still so sparse everyone was kinda far back from the stage and i believe todd made a joke about everyone staying back from the stage and geoff was like "dont listen to those guys" one of the ppl we met actually got a video of us reacting to this ahdjsvdj. he also asked us about xacto and was like whatd you think? they rock right???

- le shok set is fucking awesome. ink & dagger set is fucking awesome. the whole crowd by the time i&d went on was maybe 60 people if im being generous so when geoff got into the crowd it was wild, the blood they sprayed into the crowd was so sticky and syrupy and since there was barely anyonr there the pit became such a fucking hazard people were slipping and falling on their asses like crazy ir was so. so. incredible. heres some pics i got

- ok for this anecdote i need to preface its significance by saying me and my frinds had been doing the like. seal imitating belly pats between sets while we talked. so as i&d is getting off don is thanking the crowd off the mic for coming and geoff (still holding a mic in one hand) does. the seal belly pat. as like. a clap. oh my god. we started laughing so hard

- after i&d im going around trying to get signatures from the band on my bat build a bear & we get to talk to don for a while he is such a fucking sweetheart and was so fully engaged in our conversation. we told him my friend came from pennsylvania to come to these shows and he tells us we should go look at the hardcover book, we tell him wed love to but theyre way out of our price range 😭 he says its ok they were just expensive to produce but that we could go flip thru it if we want

- the venue kicks everyone out except band members so we continue our conversation outside and don goes "you guys wait right here ill be back" and were like we were gonna wait anyway for geoff so hes like "oh then ill just go get him!" oh my god man. so sweet. he brings geoff out and don goes to introduce us and geoff goes "oh yeah i know we were hanging out earlier we're buddies". WE WERE HANGING OUT. WERE BUDDIES. okay. we get to talk to geoff and hes so so so lovely as always. i mention the matching oomf bracelets i made me and geoff at thursday bc i was wearing mine and geoff joked "oh yeah i wear that all the time when im not performing you can ask don. yeah thats my oomf" like verbally said the word oomf i died. all i can really share is that the trent reznor cosplay is not happening sorry guys. i did get him to sign my waiting cd as "your close personal friend geoff r" but he misspelled it as fiend. i dont have it in my heart to fix it. heres the bab bat i got signed too

- before we leave don heads back inside and comes out holding something behind his back and makes his way to my friend. he gifts her the ink & dagger book for coming from pa to see them 😭😭😭😭 so fucking sweet genuinely. he said it was the last one they had

thats everything i can remember rn oh my god..what a night man. easily one of the best nights of my life
