Do you have any headcanons for Chreons house or apartment?
Caveat that I don't live anywhere in the vicinity of the US of A so if any locals would like to share their expertise with the class, please do.
That being said... I always headcannoned Chris as bit of a ranch kid. Maternal grandparents with a ranch out back somewhere in between Oklahoma and Texas. Nothing too big, cattle and horses and maybe the odd chicken or two. Young Chris has spent a lot of time running around the ranch pastures doing simple chores and going fishing with his grandfather.
Ranch got sold when Pa and Ma passed from old age. Da and Momma were urbanites and had no desire to keep running the ranch while caring for a young Chris and Claire.
While Chris is with BSAA, his accommodations are taken care of. He just lives onsite wherever work brings him in BSAA staff apartments. Minimally furnished, always ready to break camp and move at a moment's notice. Leon's situation isn't all too dissimilar.
It's only after the events of Vendetta that Chris picks up an actual property in his name. The residence is decently far away from any major city/hub. Neither of them come by often, its just that far out.
The brick house itself is pretty small relative to the lot, though it shares a lot of qualities with the ranch house from his childhood. A 2 bedroom, 2 baths affair on a big field (about 4 acres?), clear sight lines, a straight 150m (164yards) to the nearest treeline on all sides. Not secured to the point where it's a safe house (though he's working on that too) but enough space to see any threat coming from a distance.
(Or your husband in his Porsche for that matter.)
