The Decisions at Hand...
When we reached a point where we decide that we needed to make a change, or changes, in our life; we needed to be clearly decisive as to the direction we sought for our life to go from that moment onward? Such is what is referred to in the realm of recovery as: an irrevocable decision.
What we had endured thus far, and what we survived over the ages, and consideration of all those lessons so painfully learned are what we use in determining where we are at today, and where we want to go in the future?
As those events unfold around us, such signs begin to present themselves and lend us to examine the course of the direction we determined our lives should take. We then find a need to search out those happenings and weed out what things took place that we desired should happen and thus thought that we needed to happen to shape the reality that we believed we should live within? Even more important is our ability to learn the understanding of the choices we then made to make such events a reality, healthy or otherwise, and how those choices may have actually opposed the reality of what we have truly hoped would transpire?
Therein lays the fulcrum of our impetus for our personal life change: Getting our selves to a point where we can honestly discern the outcome of the impact our life choices have made and whether or not those choices were really lent toward the completion of what we wanted to happen in our lives?
It is a matter of being brutally honest about what we chose verses what we might have chosen and do we have the guts to make a different, healthier, choice from here on out?
Many realms in the void of personal recovery speak about: What we did then verses what we do now! Personally, I think that is the most powerful point of learning that one can come to grips with! To me, it is all about what we did learn, how we learned it, and where we go from there? As in, what new and healthy choices can we now make? And, most important of all, is that we are honest with ourselves about how such former choices affected our lives and whether or not we want those kinds of influences to remain as a prominent force for our future?
Self discovery is perhaps the most important aspect of developing a personal recovery program and support network that will help a person find a better, healthier way of living life. This, of course, is only my own personal opinion, and both myself and others have traveled this sort of pathway to new and brighter tomorrows.

Busy Times...
As my summers tend to be.. So much happening, so little time to get is all done...
How much I wish to write, how little time I dedicate to doing so.
Time to make choices that get back to doing what is good for me. Not that all I have been doing is not good for me; only that there is so much more I need to do that is in my own best interests as well as in the best interests of the community I love so much!
"Balance", as they say, holds the key to a plentiful life!
Many wondrous adventures fill my life these day, so many that I find I am once again neglecting my own deepest needs. How often it seems that when limits become an issue the first things we tend to sacrifice are those which nurture ourselves the most... Often supplicating that: I will get to that later on...
Yet, to often, we fail to get back to that what sustains us most: The food of our souls!
May we all make unending efforts to feed ALL that we require to be healthy and whole. each and every day; no matter how large or how small those things may be?
I pray and send powerful prayers and healing energies so that we all enjoy every moment that is afforded to us and that we each make the most of every opportunity that presents itself to us as we stumble along our individual pathways towards health and wellbriety!
May Peace, Light, Hope and Love be yours in all you do!

NaNo Reflections of the Day...
Also, something that really chafes my ass:
Why, oh why, on November Twenty First, more than two full weeks after Election Day 2012, am I still receiving Political Propaganda advertisements in the mail!? Want to talk about ‘fiscal irresponsibility’ and a waste of natural resources, eh! I can personally think of about a gazillion better ways to spend my hard earned tax dollars and whatever campaign funds that are left over from the elections! I mean I DID vote, and some of the candidates I chose won while others did not and our local Propositions went the way I felt they should. But come on, when is this going to finally come to an end so that we can get down to the business of taking care of business! Sshhheeeeessshhh! Enough already, quit begging for a ‘recall’ and more waste of essential funds!
