Why Contact a Navigator?

Starting at Duke can be intimidating. There are new people, professors, class structures, it’s a lot to, well…navigate. Especially on your own. That’s why we have the Constellation Navigators! 

These are sophomore students who have been through it and are here to help. Through social events and fun activities, they’ll help you get to know the students in your Constellation better so you can make friends and build your community as you explore your question. They’re also here for individual meetings with you to answer your questions about Constellations and to share their own experiences. 

Whatever your question; reach out to your Constellation Navigator – they’re excited to meet you and welcome you to your Constellation! 

Who Are the Navigators?

The Constellation Navigators are sophomore students who previously participated in Constellations, serving as guides, support figures, and community builders for the first-year students. They work to help cultivate the sense of community in their Constellation and provide a peer support resource through organized social gatherings, fun small-group activities, and 1:1 meetings. 

Navigators don’t tell you where to go, only how to get there.
