I recently pulled some corned beef out of the refrigerator, intending to make a sandwich. Unfortunately, when I smelled it, it didn't smell right. In fact, it smelled revolting. When my mother, with a declining sense of smell, smelled it, she thought it smelled fine. I am very curious whether electronic noses have gotten good enough these days to detect spoiled food.
