Four sages entered paradise Ben Azzai, Ben Zoma, Acher, and Akiba. Ben Azzai looked and died; Ben Zoma looked and went mad; Acher destroyed the plants; Akiba entered in peace and departed in peace.

My imagination makes me human and makes me a fool; it gives me all the world and exiles me from it. Ursula K. Le Guin
Once I was a small town girl dreaming of Elsewhere, whether it be Middle Earth, the Middle Ages, or the Middle East and beyond. These days, I'm living the life of the semi-itinerant grad student, hopping from continent to continent in pursuit of more knowledge and pieces of paper with Latin writing. Part of my mind is turning toward my next untraveled road and adventure, the other is dreaming of the mountains and moss-covered trees of home.
Part barefoot hippie, part crunchy conservative. Occasional writer, of both poetry and prose. A mix of Nice Jewish Girl and medieval nun born in the wrong century, or so I have been told!
The Road goes ever on and on Down from the door where it began. Now far ahead the Road has gone, And I must follow, if I can, Pursuing it with eager feet, Until it joins some larger way Where many paths and errands meet. And whither then? I cannot say.
