livejournal is about as lively as myspace and as we all know that isn't saying much. facebook is the only social network i really use anymore, so yet another creative outlet bites the dust. just after logging in i had to endure a 30 second commercial before i could even meander this site. lame. and so is making posts for awhile and getting no response. the only thing it is good for is anyone lurking my posts, if there is anyone doing such, so i guess find something else semi-interesting to read. peace out lj, it's been real.
kellen saw a cardiologist today and he thinks kellen needs another procedure done, and in the immediate future. i am waiting to hear from the children's hospital so we can go have our regular cardiologist check him out and potentially get the ball rolling on his next stay. i didn't think he would need to be operated on again so soon. i fucking hate this. his last visit was so positive, and just like that...i need to start mustering up the strength to see my baby hooked up to a million monitors and ivs again. this hurts so much.
kellen started eating solid foods this week. i took a few videos of me feeding him and coaxing him on with an apparantly annoying baby voice. i can't stomach listening to myself, but at least my son is adorable.
my son is now 4 months old! i feel like i am going to blink and he is going to be walking and talking. it is all is going way too fast, so i'm just going to try to enjoy the ride:)
mr. kellen riley is already going to be a month old tomorrow! this is all going too fast for my liking. i want him to stay little forever. oh yeah, we have been home for almost 2 weeks now. no more hospital, no more nugget connected to wires and ivs, just us being home and getting settled into a somewhat normal life. it is the greatest feeling being able to actually walk around with my son and not be bound to the vicinity of his hospital crib because he was hooked up to so much crap. here is a picture from about a week ago. my son is a handsome lil' guy if i do say so myself:)
