Transgender / Gender Variance / Incongruence

Hey all! I've had some great success posting on this forum before, so here goes:

I'm co-editor for a pretty cool forum that largely addresses matters related to gender, sex, and sexuality, and we're looking for a few new writers. We're pretty open to content/mediums, so aspiring columnists, creative writers, podcasters, videobloggers, etc. - I encourage you to check it out and see if you might be a good fit!

BELOW THE BELT

Does anyone have access to any of these articles on their campus? I'm trying to write a comprehensive analysis debates surrounding GID and the DSM-IV and DSM-V, but my campus doesn't subscribe it this particular journal (All three articles are from the same issue of one journal). Equality & Parity II: list of workshops and presenters

 

This is a list of the workshop and roundtable abstracts and presenters. This list does not include the Plenary Talks or entertainers. If you want to register for the conference, go to www.equalityandparity.org. You can register in English or Spanish. If you reside in California please apply for a scholarship. The conference is free, but scholarships cover, if live 50+ miles from the conference location, transportation, food and lodging. If you live less than 50 miles from the conference location, scholarships can't cover lodging. And if you live outside of California, you are not eligible for a scholarship, but you are welcome to attend the conference. Hotel registration deadline is January 5th, so get your registration in ASAP!

Just want to quickly introduce myself and say hi. I am a transgendered academic who is working on his degree but mostly is self-learned and studied in non traditional methods and education.
Looking forward to chat and meet others

Susan Stryker is teaching Transgender History and Urban Spaces at Harvard this year, and her reading list, some reserve readings, the syllabus, and more online content are accessible without a student password. I thought this might be useful for those interested in the topic, or those writing papers looking for current materials.

Over the course of the semester, we will link transgender history to issues in contemporary critical, queer, and feminist theory, and develop an argument about the interrelationship between embodiment and the built environment.
