Training Machop

So yeah, I have a plan for Machop and Machoke (when machop evolves). He currently has the Power Bracer equipped. That is 4 Attack EVs right there. Add in the EVs of the pokemon I fight, which are currently Shinx, which also give Attack EVs. So that is 5 Attack right there. Following until 250, then take off the Power Bracer and take down a 2-attack-ev pokemon and there we go.

Then comes speed, which I do have the Power Anklet. That plus Staravia's will give me all the Speed EVs I need. Then HP, which I will have to figure out a plan for soon. But so far, all the planning and trying is paying off :)

Ace Trainer League - Progress is Proceeding!

Many of us in the ATU League have been working on our teams, and so far, many of them are being fleshed out! Just today, I have been working on the EVs for my machop. And so far, so good. I just wish I had more of the "Power" items to help EV train. I only have Power Bracer and Power Anklet, but I hope to get more soon. Then I can train my team to the utmost degree.

Not sure how the others are faring, but maybe they will join and say their pieces.

Upcoming Celebi Event

Tomorrow is the first day of the Celebi event. I am psyched! I am totally getting 4 of them. One in SS, one in Pearl, one in Platinum, one in Diamond. With all the in-trading with myself, my pearl will have 2, SS 1, White 1.
The going rate for Celebi's is high. People would trade anything for them, almost. So having a lot in store is invaluable.

Tomorrow is also the first day of the WiFi Suicune event. I will be getting in on that.

Ace Trainers United - Site Made

That's right, I made a free website for ATU! This will now serve as the site's blog, going over recent events and such. The site will hold most of the big information. Which is good, since it would be chaotic putting it all here. There'd be no organization. I hope the guys at ATU like it and enjoy the site to the fullest! I was even able to connect the forums (long since been in use) to the site. Hopefully that'll draw more activity there! Now alls I need is for Google or Yahoo or both to pick up on the ATU site and get it out there onto the web!

Ace Trainer League - More Rules and Regulations

More rules for the Ace Trainers League have been made regarding battle, as well as some new rules regarding Pokémon that can and cannot be used. You may notice many of these rules are the same as those from the Pokémon Video Game Championship Series.

1. Trainers may use between 4 and 6 pokémon when facing gym leaders or the elite four.

2. Pokémon can be of any level between 1 and 100.

3. Trainers may not have 2 or more of the same pokémon in their party.

4. Trainers may not use 2 or more pokémon with the same nickname.

5. Trainers may not use a pokémon using the name of another pokémon species (ie, a charizard names rattata).

6. Pokémon are not to have inappropriate names when competing in the league.

7. Trainers found to have used external devices while training their pokémon or battling will be disqualified. This goes for trainers, elite four, and gym leaders.

The following pokémon are not permitted to combat in the Ace Trainer League. While many were restricted in the Pokémon VGC, here they are not permitted:

Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Regice, Regirock, Registeel, Regigigas, Uxie, Azelf, Mesprit, Latias, Latios

The following pokémon are restricted in the ATU league (no more than 2 of any of these in your party):

Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Spiritomb, Heatran, Cresselia, Tyranitar, Dragonite, Metagross, Garchomp, Salamence

Pokémon restrictions and ineligibilities pertain to trainers, gym leaders, and elite four.

There are no held item restrictions. However, no two pokemon can hold the same item.

If more rules are to be made, they will be posted.

Ace Trainer League - Updates

As mentioned before, there is an Ace Trainer League. It is a pokemon league built by those of us in Ace Trainers United. The league is still in the works, but here is what is currently done and under way.

Gym Leaders:
MetaZedlen - Steel
Cryptic - Dark
12 Rouge - Normal
Alex - All Types

Other gym leaders are to be decided.

The Elite Four and Champion will be a gradual process. The first person to beat all gym leaders will be the champion. When another trainer beats all leaders, he must then face the champion. The winner becomes the new champion. The loser becomes the Elite One. The next person, after fighting all leaders, must face the Elite One. If he wins, he fights the champion. If he wins, he becomes the new champion, and the forner becomes another member of the Elite Four. If he loses, he becomes another member of the Elite Four. The process continues until there are four Elite Four and a Champion. After that, any person who beats the champion and Elite Four will take place as the champion and the former champion becomes an Elite Four (at their discrecion). If that is the case, the oldest lasting Elite Four is removed to make room for the new one.

The above is if there are fewer trainers than hoped.

The alternative method, involving a greater ammount of trainers, would be a more tournament style. The 8 top trainers will combat one another. The winner will be the Champion. The four runner-ups will be the Elite Four.

Other methods may arrive in time. But for now, this is what is set. More updates about the Ace Trainer League is to come.

New WiFi Events!

Alright, well it seems that European release of the Legendary Trio over Wifi is not only in Europe, but in America and Australia as well! So if you missed out on your chance to get one at GameStop, you can get one over Wifi now!
This week, we have Raikou. Next week will be Entei, followed by Suicune after that!

Ace Trainer League - In Progress

Those of us at the PSO-World branch of Ace Trainers United are plotting out the Ace Trainer League. We will have 8 gyms, 8 badges, and a lot of pokemon battles. I will post more once we have more to post.

So far, we have 3 gym leaders lined up. Hopefully we will get 5 more.
