I agree, the timelines are awful in Regular Show😭 That’s why I tried creating an organized one in my head, yet keeping some important stuff in (which I’ll also be doing for Lucy’s lore, matter of fact I might just use this for her lore) Kinda make it a whole separate universe thing. Like have Regular Show itself stay, but when I create the organized version, things will change a little & ofc some things won’t be canon🤔🌝

OK IM BLABBERING HERE LOL, but this is a tough one ngl (bc when he meets Dave, he appears the same *cough cough old* except he has long braided hair). SOOOOO, because of my whole “changing the story up a bit” here, I’d like to believe he meets Dave AFTER his drumming career. Gosh, even when I was going to type out my reason I was like, “well Benson starts working at the park AFTER being kicked from Hair to the Throne, man how am I going to make this work??” So here’s how I’ll make it work (be prepared to read some horrible, long writing PFFT)

Now I’m still working on this so bear with me😭🙏🏻. In my version, when Benson (21 y/o) gets kicked from Hair to the Throne which I headcanon he was there for 2 years (so 19-21) instead of 6 months or something like that, he’s (of course) devastated and begs to be in the band again but we know that blah blah blah. Carry on, when that doesn’t work out, he tries finding a different job while being homeless. He picks up a newspaper one day that shows job offers at 1. The park & 2. Coach for the Stick Hockey Games. I also headcanon that he was in some dorky Stick Hockey Club in Highschool—so he’s already familiar//experienced teheheh..He chooses to try out the Sticky Hockey Games & applies to be a Coach for students there. When was hired, he was given a list of the students he has to mentor, along with a tour + meet and greets of the students blah blah blahh. As he is being introduced to his students, he notices that one of the students is also a Gum-ball Machine *O* (it’s pretty rare to see other Gum-ball Machines). So on, this job also helps Benson finally rent out a crappy apartment and get his life in order (for now). During his time there, he really enjoys hanging out with Dave, and even trains him well enough for him to get put into the Stick Hockey Tournament..

My writing is horrible😭 BUT YOU GET THE GIST OF IT—— At 19 (after graduation) he was in Band class at 16-19 y/o, and Stick Hockey Club at 15-19. He joins HTTT, at 21 he gets kicked from HTTT ——— age 21-24, he coach’s at the Stick Hockey Games and grows a strong bond with Dave throughout those years (they instantly clicked when they first met), after Dave’s death, Benson was depressed and didn’t know what to do with his life anymore. (yikes sensitive topic, apologies💔) To distract himself, he tries finding other jobs, and even joins game shows (one of them being Say That Word). Of course, that went wrong as well and just made things worse😭. When all hope was lost, he reads the local newspaper one morning and sees a job offer at The Park (pretty familiar eh?). Thus, at the age of 24, he applies to work at the park gets a new apartment and such + he gets the job as a groundskeeper ofc. Becomes the manager at 26(with the help of Pops putting in good word for Benson bc he truly believes that Benson would be a perfect boss). At 29-30, he hires Mordecai & Rigby (worked there for 6 years now) Middle of the seasons (perhaps season 4-5) he’s around 35 & at the end of the show he’s 40-43ishhh?? (again still working on it LOL).

➥ Unfortunately, due to the crappy timelines, he doesn’t hire Muscle Man & H5G during his teenage years💔 Trust me, I really tried including it into the story bc I think it’s cute how he was just like “You’re hired, and you’re hired, oh and YOU’RE HIRED” bc he’s a dumb teenager that got his first job managing a park PFFFFT. BUUUTT that would mean I would have to remove the whole Stick Hockey plot bc I wanted to make the storyline as clear as possible (bc why would he randomly join the Stick Hockey Games during his time at the park😭) UNLESS… we can make it work and have it be where he worked as a groundskeeper AND Stick Hockey. But even then it’s all wonky and fries my brain trying to include EVERYTHING in💔 Again though, this is just my theory, A FILMS THEORY (mb I had to do it), but yeah I tried my best fitting everything in, but just couldn’t. That’s why I mentioned that it was still in the works + his age and stuff, but idek anymore LOL. I’m even trying to organize it more as I type this out🧍🏻‍♀️ Maybe a few suggestions and even theory’s from others will help me organize it more, BUT UHH YEAH. Notes I had to remember for this plot:

• Muscle Man states “HTTT got me through High School!” So perhaps when Benson was 21, Muscle Man & H5G were in Junior or Senior year, so maybe 17-19??

• Benson was a teenager when he hired Muscle Man & H5G (Skips has already been there, so Benson had to meet Maellard, Pops, and Skips, maybe even some old workers there (like Talks or whoever tf he was). —Changed

• Short hair//Glasses ver. of Benson appeared to be getting a tour from Maellard about managing (not groundskeeping). Even though he has already been hired as a teen —Changed

• Mordecai & Rigby were familiar with HTTT Ages: (B: 30, M&R: 23) minus 7—> (B:19-21, M&R: 12-14) + they knew about Drumatron more than the person (Benson) doing the drum solo, so 12-17/18 or 15-17/18 years old is how long they were into HTTT perhaps

-It appears they did know that someone played the solo, but “quit,” and didn’t bother since Drumatron took over
